We only stopped one night as we were attending a function locally and were then heading south.

The owner was very friendly when we arrived and we had booked an 'electric inclusive' pitch. It was level with plenty room for us. There were other pitches which had 'payment by card' arrangements for electric.

We did not spend much time on the site but certainly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

I can not comment on the toilets/showers as we use our own facilities.

The only slight negative is the access through the housing estate with cars parked on either side of the road but it did not cause us a problem with a large caravan.

Pitched up for the weekend in my new caravan. The lady on reception was very friendly and explain the site lay out well to us. Was informed that they normally provide meals but chief on his Holiday.

We had plenty of room on our pitch. But this helped because the site was about empty. Think it would be a bit tight if the park was busy. The toilet block was not as modern as some. But kept very clean. 1 for showers, never tried them as used our own.

There was a very popular bar on site which seem quite nice. Having a pool table and slot machine. Nice pint. Also a small handy shop.

The fact that there was some empty spaces were static caravans used to be. Made the place look a tad messy. But maybe being filled for next season. Also a small playground.

What really liked about this site and what would make me return. Was it was right near the river. Which was great for dog walking. Also a nice flat path for cycling. My youngest of 4 managed a round trip almost to Peebles 11 miles.

Within cycling distance you had the world famous 7 stanes Mountain bike trails. Also a new GO APE at Glentess.

Last year we stayed at this site in a tent for one night during a bikepacker tour. There was some kind of domestic going on from the contract builder/roofers site attached which kept us awake most of the night. So for this years spring bike tour we thought we'd stop in one of the Pods which would be quieter. So this April we stopped in a pod for one night which has a wall mounted heater and carpeted floor. The price (35 last years price) was way over the top for what is provided. The showers which were spotless and well lit are 1 each visit.

The site itself looks onto some beautiful hills that surround it and are awesome when the sunrise hits them. Innerleithen itself is a great little place with everything a camper would need for groceries and takeaways that are delivered to the site. On the site there seems to be a lot of contract builders and roofers who have there own shower block and facilities. At midnight on Tuesday we had the pleasure of country and western played at full blast coming from one of the contractors range rovers, at 12. 30 when I had to take a look I realised why the music was playing so loud, it was so the other 20 or so people having a BBQ could hear the music. This went on till 01. 00 when to the sound of Dolly Parton I passed out. The 60 mile bike ride next day was tough to say the least. We wont be going back. There seems to be lots of empty spaces appearing which is a shame.

This campsite is in a very nice setting by the River Tweed.

The wardens were very friendly and we were allowed to choose our own pitch with (currently) 'free' electricity (the hook-ups are being changed over to prepay, presumably to pay for the amount of electricity used rather than a fixed charge).

Toilet block was clean and tidy but the showers were very expensive. Very quiet site since a lot of the statics were unoccupied.

Lovely walks by the river and the shops are only a short walk away through the housing estate.

The site is lovely. Friendly owners and very clean and neat with great grass and gravel hard standing for touring outfits. Great walks by the river and the town is very pleasant.

One thing we didn't like was the dishwashing sink in the toilets. I felt very strange about doing the dishes in the same room as people using the toilet.

One other point for motorhome owners is that it's difficult to fill your water tank and empty waste as the tap and waste water drop is hard up against the toilet block wall and the tap has a short hose (about 18') attached to it.

For this reason we would only be able to stay for two or three days. With a motorhome point and a proper dishwashing area it would be perfect.

This is the friendliest caravan site we have ever stayed at in the Borders. The owners have plenty of time for you and keep the park spotless.

The views are wonderful and there is access directly from the site to the footpath by the River Tweed and up into the hills via a bridge. You do wonder at first if you are going the right way as the park is right at the bottom of a housing estate but this was not a problem as we never heard any noise and I asked some of the static owners who stay for the season and they were very happy with everything.

The Park owners have been there for 19 yrs and they have a personal pride in it which shows. Lovely flat, well kept pitches for statics, tourers and tents, they also have camping pods to rent. Good toilet facilities with plenty of hot water although 1 per shower was the most we have paid anywhere ever!

Its a good location for either touring in the car or walking up the hills. The town is a 15 mins walk where you can get essentials - Supermarket, Paper shop, etc. Will definitely return - hopefully there will be better weather next time.
