On arrival we were met by the owners who were very welcoming and were on hand should have we required any help.
Arrived at our designated spot which had been pre-booked and it was spot on nice and flat no need for levelling ramps.
The site and its facilities were absolutely spot on, the location is a bit remote but it was just what the doctor ordered peace and quite.
If you want to go visiting if in a motorhome a bike is required otherwise it can be quite along walk as we found out but to be honest it is flat and easy walking.
When the opportunity comes along will definitely be going back.

Just got back from yet another 10/10 stay at one of our favourite sites, there isnt anything bad about this site. The new owners are really friendly and are doing a really good job. If you want peace and quiet good pitches lovely spotless clean shower block, then this is the site for you
You wont be disappointed
Although there is no on site shop there is a butcher's van that comes on a Friday and the local co-op is ok

This is our third visit to the site and our second this year, we went in August 2012 as well. On both occasions this year it has been under new ownership, a very welcoming couple who are happy to help you.
Before going this year I read with interest the trials of people who visited on the jubilee weekend when the previous owners were still the owners. It did not put us off returning because we find the site so idyllic and peaceful. We were interested in seeing how the new owners had settled in.
Again the site was clean and tidy with well tended pitches. The toilet block and washing up facilities were also very clean.
Although we have not got a dog, we were aware that the area at the top of the site has now been converted into a dog friendly area. Talking to dog owners it was obvious that they appreciated this change of use.
On each occasion we have been to this site we have been able to 'chill out'. Although away from it there are enough places to eat not too far from the site, we had fish and chips at the local shop (wooden hut), it has a five star food rating, is very busy and the food is delicious.

Stayed at the site over the Jubilee weekend. Superb facilities, but as others have commented they couldn't cope with the site as full as it was I had to queue all 3 days to use the shower and even occasionally for the toilets as well.
My other dislike was the siting of the water points, I like to fetch water when I need it, which on Long Acres was quite a walk as there were only 2 taps both by the facilities block - there needs to be more.
Although it didn't affect us directly I did notice a vast difference in some of the pitch sizes if you had a tent, the friends we went with only just managed to fit their (not large) tent on the pitch they were given so it was a good job that we were there so that they could use our day tent & camper for cooking etc.
Nice location, but it is a little isolated, so if you need anything you gave to drive to get it. The Duke of Wellington pub, well worth a visit, lovely meals and VERY large portions.
Would I return, possibly but I don't think I'd go over a BH weekend again as the site didn't cope.

As many others have said this is a pristine campsite with some of the cleanest facilities I have ever seen.
Margaret & Steve are friendly and kind and I loved the touch of making sure they said goodbye to everyone.
One thing to be aware of though is some pitches for tents to go on grass are smaller than others. Our Colorado 5, not a huge tent, literally just fitted. If we had been alone we could not have sat outside nor did we put up our cooking shelter. We did however go with friends so we were able to share their day shelter but I wouldn't have been happy if we had gone alone especially as the weather was so bad for 1 day and cooking inside the tent is a no no for us, hence why we have a shelter.
The site was nearly full being Jubilee weekend & the ladies showers & sinks didn't cope as we had to queue for both. The fact they were first class did make up for that though, worth waiting for.
Having walked around the site we have the pitch numbers we would chose from next time & I would advise you to state your tent size plus any shelters etc when you book as I am sure Steve & Margaret would then place you on the right size pitch.
We went to the Duke of Wellington & the portions even defeated our friend which is a rare thing. They had a live duo playing music on Sunday night when we went. We also went to the Battle of Britain Flight in Tattershall which was the highlight of our visits. It's free to go in but £6 per adult for the tour & it was well worth every penny. We also went to Tatershall castle which was good too.
A site to revisit definitely as it was clear from our stay that may are repeat visitors & I am not surprised.

This touring park does look lovely and some of its facilities are immaculate.
However the owners are not equipped to deal with the number of clients the park is supposed to cater for, neither is the park itself. There are an inadequate number of toilets and showers for busy weekends, we stayed there during the Jubilee weekend, which meant a long wait for a shower, there only being 2 for males and 2 for females, with a potential of at least 80 people staying on the site. There are also an inadequate number of fresh water taps and waste disposal points, these are quite a long walk from your vehicle if you are staying at the far end. Also rubbish bins at time overflowing.
I find it incomprehensible that the owners do not even know which pitch is which, we were allocated a pitch at the far end and could not pitch up our awning at the side, by reversing in as instructed by the owner due to a tent being there, however this was not the fault of our lovely neighbours T and J, they had been told to pitch up there.
A couple of hours after arrival we were asked if we would move, but we declined as were all set up. The owner also asked us if we had paid, surely they should know this information, we had paid in full prior to arrival. Along with another reviewer we were also not invited to the Jubilee party.
On the plus side we met some lovely people who were also staying there and had some good chuckles about the site.
Would we stay there again no, which is a shame as the area is lovely but the owners are really not cut out attitude or facilities wise to deal with the number of pitches they say they can cater for.
