We really enjoyed the stay at this campsite. The owners are very helpful and friendly and are always walking around to ensure everything is OK.

Dogs are allowed on the campsite which Iím not a great lover of but there were no problems.

The shower and toilet facilities are mixed use which some people donít like. Personally it makes sense as it uses the facilities to the full rather than ladies being full gents half full etc. The only thing to remember is take your own toilet roll as they donít supply it. The showers were great and always warm and I rarely waited which is better than most campsites Iíve been to.

There is also a washing machine and dryer for anyone that might want one (a charge does apply for this) and an upright fridge freezer (no charge) that is always used a lot by everyone. These are at the end of the toilet block where there are also two washing facilities for pots. There were also two mains sockets spare in this room which people charged gadgets on but left at their own risk. (didnít hear of any problems)

There isnít an on-site shop and you are quite isolated but we picked this site as itís not commercial but is friendly and relaxed. There is a petrol station 2 miles away which has a mini supermarket and Tesco, Morrisonís and Asda are all in Caernarfon which is about 15-20 mins by car depending on traffic.

My only negative was the beach over the field isnít a beach itís rocky and you canít really get into the sea easily unless you have aqua shoes on as its slippery seaweed and rocks. Not a fault of the campsite but something people should be aware of. The plus side is people do have little campires at on the beach at night and you do get great sunsets.

We were very lucky as the weather was amazing which always helps but we enjoyed the stay and as most reviews have already said the owners are always around to help with any questions you may have.

A cracking little site. Facilities are quite basic but all you need. Only negative is you have to lift your waste water container up a fair height to empty down the chemical toilet disposal point.

The site is nice and level although the access gate is quite narrow if you have a long, wide tourer. A good base for exploring snowdonia national park.

Probably the most dog friendly site we've been to so far!

We went to this site with three other families for a lovely Easter break. We had a fantastic pitch on a very clean site. The toilet block is beautifully clean, showers are large and usually warm. The owners are so friendly and they can't do enough for you. There are a lot of people who have permanent pitches there and they are also very friendly. Lots to do in the area but a car would be useful. We cannot recommend this site highly enough.

We found the site by putting a pin in a map, so glad we did. We called the owner who made it stress free to book. On arrival we were met by a lovely caring lady I had recently had a knee op that had gone wrong and needed a break, yeh Ha! She couldn't do enough to make our stay peaceful and relaxing, just what the Dr ordered.

The shower block is clean, and there is a block to wash dishes, with a fridge/freezer to store those cold items free. Its a site that's not over crowded, and many users return throughout the season, we liked so much, my son bought a caravan which now stays on site and we bought our own tent, we love it.

The campsite is minutes from a pebbled beach and the sea. There are many attractions to visit if you have a car, although the bus stop is not far away. There are lovely walks and you can bring your pets as long as kept on leads and you adhere to the country code, which we all do.

We're off there for Easter in a week or two, the dogs and family tagging along to.

The owners want you to have a good relaxing time, so she's even trying to order some good weather for us, what a lady!

Just returned from yet another visit to this lovely site. I have been visiting it for a number of years and for numerous visits each year.

The things I love about it are that there is plenty of space and it's in a great beautiful position with views of the mountains and right on it's own beach. The owners are so helpful and at hand if you need them. They are lovely and great for a chat and tips and advice about things to do in the area.

They ensure it's a safe environment and that it's not overcrowded.

The facilities are great with lovely clean showers and toilets and plenty of hot water.

The pot washing area is great with a fridge freezer if you need to use it.

It also has hook ups for electricity but ensure you book it beforehand as these are popular.

I have been to the site in a small family group and also in large party family groups. It's great for children with lots of space.

There is so much to do in the area and it's a great base to visit Caernarfon castle, Snowden, Dinelle beach and lots more. There is so much to do in the area it's too much to mention here. The site has lots of tourist information leaflets to choose from.

If you want a peaceful camp in a clean safe environment this site is for you.

It is better to have a car there to get around but shops and pubs/restaurants not too far away by car.

Cae Clyd.

We have just spent a week in a tent on this site and absolutely loved it. Quiet, clean, loads of space, beautiful views of the hills, very friendly owners and most importantly for us, excellent value for money.

The shower block is unisex and you are required to bring your own loo rolls.

The site is far enough from the main road that road noise wasn't an issue for us.

We found it an ideal base for Snowdon ~9miles (Rhyd Du)

There's a Coop in Penygroes ~2miles, Tesco/ Morrisons in Carnarfon slightly further away.

The Harp Hotel is ~2miles along the main Rd or ~3miles if you scramble along the beach (pebbles).

The wider area itself provides lots of attractions and we have vowed to return next year to use as a base for more mountain hiking.
