Just returned from a weeks stay and my review is as follows:
1: upon arrival a welcome cup of tea awaits, nice touch
2: spacious pitch area, flat with 10 amp e. H. U. Also allowed extra car at no extra cost.
3:very friendly and helpful owners (and also the pet dog!)
4: lovely play area for the children and covered b. B. Q. Area
5: breathtaking views with peace and serenity all around
6: Aberdaron a good 30 minute walk with two lovely pubs and great food ( but a bit pricey ! ) parking in the village a nightmare but a car park is available at a cost. Local shop very expensive, a place you will visit once, then ask where the nearest supermarket is.
7: shower block. Layout questionable. Shared block with 2 showers ( 20p for approx 1 min so get yourself ready to go ! ) w. C. In with shower ( but their is a basic outside w. C. ) wash hand basins in open area so difficult to have a wash and only 1 pot washing sink so usually a queue. My wife was a bit uneasy at sharing washing and toilet facilities with males but for 98 pound for the week for a family of 6 with an extra car and e. H. U. This for me was a minor inconvenience.
8: overall, a lovely little campsite with owners who are trying very hard and deserve all the praise and success that comes their way and I can only see this site growing and improving as the years go by ! please give this site a go, the owners deserve it.

Arrived to glorious sunshine on Friday afternoon, the owners were very friendly and offered us a panad (tea).
The site is very clean and the pitches are generous.
The toilets / shower (20p) were immaculate with a new shower block ready next week.
The covered BBQ area was a nice touch and the kids had a great time in the play area and looking at the chicks and chickens that roam around the house.
The site is fully fenced off and there are plenty of water points around the site.
5mins drive down to Aberdaron and some good food in the local.
Overall an excellent site and a credit to Owners.

1st time out with our new caravan, well to be honest with any caravan.
We were welcomed to Tyn Cae site with a smile and a hot cup of tea. Ian was very helpful as we had a few teething problems with our taps.
Site is welcoming and friendly, area is beautiful we didn't realise North Wales had so much to offer. If you want a chilled out break on a lovely site that doesn't have more rules than parliament this is the place for you.
New toilet block with dish wash area is well under way, will make a big difference, for us anyway our sink is tiny. Although existing shower and toilet are small they are spotless.
All in all friendly well located clean site, we will definitely be going back.

Arrived on the Thursday for Easter weekend, were greeted with a cup of tea before setting up tent.
Unfortunately the tea was just as we had asked for which meant we couldn't complain.
While setting up the tent we noticed how quiet the site and adjoining lane were, we had to wait a long time before we finally heard a tractor approach, drive past and head off into the distance again. Hmmm, I suppose we could have complained but we have to accept some noise disturbance!
Facilities??? Well, what can you say. A small covered area for cooking and eating including bbqs, a play area, chickens roaming free a toilet and shower. But no club house! Can you believe it! No disco, no bar, no evening entertainment! Nothing to do bit sit quietly, read, enjoy the stunning views, walk into Aberdaron and back(20 minutes), walk the lanes, go down to the river, talk to your fellow campers and cottage stayers, talk to Denise and Ian! Bah not even a burger bar!
Our neighbours, in the one caravan and the stone barn we think may also have been disappointed with the peace and quiet as we barely saw them the first day. But spent next few days having to chat to them, swap tales and stories, be invited for a drink one evening!
We headed off to Aberdaron beach and found it. Well. A long sandy clean water beach with the local hotel bar being a suntrap directly overlooking the beach. Not an oil spill in sight, no radios blaring, just people enjoying themselves!
The rest of our short break followed the same routine, peace and quiet, lovely views, the sun made an appearance every day, lovely coastal walks, plenty of places to visit and have a mooch.
So, if you just want to get away from it all, much as it pains me to say, give Denise and Ian a try but please don't pinch our pitch for next time.
But if you want club house, noise, dreadful views, noisy neighbours etc etc, try somewhere else :-))
The 9 out of 10 for facilities is only because wash area was out of action. Get it sorted for Wit week Ian!
Child friendliness. No children but Hamish, our 6 month border terrier loved it, even enjoying a game of footie with two other dogs and two of the children! 9 out of 10 as we really can't speak for other children!

We had a wonderful two week stay in August on this site. The owners are really helpful and welcoming and forthcoming with suggestions of where to visit.
The site is very peaceful with lots of space and well maintained and you really feel you are away from it all.
It is quite a new site and the owners initial efforts have had to be focused on a barn conversion so the existing facilities although clean and adequate most of the time became a bit strained when the site was full. That said, they have started work on a brand new toilet and shower block which will make a huge difference when completed.
It is close to some lovely beaches and coastal paths and the village is only a half hour walk away where there are a variety of good places to eat, including the fish and chip shop and the pub overlooking the beach.
Lovely fresh bread and pies from the bakery - we even stopped on the way home to get some.
We certainly intend to return to this excellent site next summer.

Great Site.
Situated in a small valley just outside of Aberdaron on the Llyn in North Wales.
The site is very quiet with great views. The valley provides good shelter should the weather turn.
A small site with basic ablutions, toilet, wash basin and shower (20 pences needed) facilities. These are kept immaculate. In the field has a washing up area and running water, power hookups available.
Twenty minutes’ walk, five by car will find you in Aberdaron. A small village sat on a bay with its own impressive beach, couple of pubs, cafe's and the odd shop. The Bakers is great, nothing better than fresh bread for breakfast. The Hotel overlooking the beach here offered good food at reasonable prices Crab salad superb, ribs and chicken wings, steaks were all worth a date with the mussels starter was a worthy main course.
The location of Tyn Cae is ideal for exploring the rugged coast on both sides of the Llyn. Porth Ore (Whistling Sands), Penlech, Ceriad, Ysgo all great beaches with crystal waters. Pick your beach with regard to the prevailing wind for calm seas or even some impressive surf. Good snorkelling with plenty of wildlife, loads of fish and if your lucky seals and dolphins. Invest in an OS map to get the best from the area. Visits to the mountain tops in the central Llyn provide great vistas that are well worth the climb.
Further afield there are various attractions Snowdonia, Carnarvon with its impressive castle, the small railways. You can even go up market in Abersoch and by some expensive designer sailor suits.
The Llyn is famous for its great weather it often misses the bad weather on the mainland.
The Picot family run this site and went out of their way to help their guests without being intrusive. Their tariffs are very reasonable compared to the norm in the area
I’ll visit again, nearly went this again this week, damn family weddings. Treat yourself to a chill out give Denise a call you owe it to yourself.
