Stayed for 2 nights in a folding camper, when we were attending a sailing event on in New Quay

Nice little site with friendly, helpful owners.

Clean shower and loo, but queues a lot of the time as no one seemed to want to use the porta shower / loo !

Access down narrow lanes

Would stay here again, but plan to stay at a site a short walk from New Quay, for the sailing next year, purely due to it being closer

4 of us stayed here over the Jubilee weekend. What a lovely family-owned place!

The site is relatively small with access from a small narrow lane. The camp is well sheilded from the wind and is only a short 15 minutes walk from New Quay town.

There were usually long queues for the shower in the morning. Everyone seemed to prefer the built-in shower rather than the portable version. Everything was clean and well kept. My only gripe was there seemed to be a constant need to top up the loo roll.

We're considering coming here again later this year.

This site was kept clean and the owners of the site were very friendly but I thought the porta toilets weren't very nice and holiday was spoilt by being woke up at between 6am and 7am by dogs barking.

Pub was nice and pleasant but thought it was a long way down the track seen as I struggle to walk long distances, even though helen did say it was only a 10 min walk.

Newquay itself is a very nice place but very busy and parking was a nightmare, but there was plenty of places to eat and reasonable prices, but not that much to do if you didn't want to sit on the beach all day.

This is a lovely gem of a site situated about 20 minute walk from the beautiful little seaside resort of New Quay. It is a flat site that is well maintained by the friendly owners.

The toilet and shower facilities were adequate and clean, extra porta shower and toilets were added for the bank holiday weekend. There are washing up facilities.

The site was very peaceful for the majority of our stay with only one other camper on site, the site did fill up for the bank holiday.

The nearest pub is about 15 minutes walk away and served reasonable food, a better pub called the Queens was another 5 minutes down the road and the food served there was excellent and half the price, don't let the outside appearance put you off.

A 5 minute walk from the site there is the footpath for the coastal walks and a small beach.

Small flat site with great views across to the sea. One loo and one shower for all and separate portable loo (no light) plus washing up sink. To avoid the pressure problem in the shower a fellow camper told me to run the hot tap in the sink while taking a shower and that seemed to work ok. Could be queues for shower and loo. Quite an exposed site so very windy some days and not a lot of shelter.

Very friendly and very good value. Close to coast path along which you could walk into New Quay which is a pleasant place but during the summer holidays it was extremely busy and parking a nightmare and pricey.

Two small supermarkets in New Quay but because of parking I recommend Cross Inn along the road out which has 3 shops selling all you need and some delicious cakes in one and local meat in the Post Office which is open past 6pm.

Good walking along the Ceredigion Coast Path and visited the Honey Farm and found that very interesting.

We have just returned from a windy wet week here and our thoughts and views about this site are mixed.

There were two sets of directions on website and as we were coming from the Cross Keys direction we followed these unfortunately this route takes you through the center of Newquay! Not recommended on a sunny Sunday afternoon in August with a 21 foot unit! When we left we took the other route via Synod Inn and would recommend this as a better route for caravans.

The approach up the lane to the campsite got even more hairy, the first turn is very sharp and then its along a long narrow lane with only a few small pull ins.Thankfully we didn't meet anyone!

First impressions of the camp were good, a large expanse of well cared for grass (Andy loves cutting his grass!) and a good gravel road led up past the wash unit to the hard standings. We were booked onto 'Mwnt' pitch, the first one you come to, level but not suitable for an awning because of two small tress although Andy said he planned to move them.

All the hardstandings are level but very short, a twin axles hitch was jutting into the road and even a small two berth had to pitch sideways across the pitch to allow the use of an awning extension.

The wash unit, which from outside looked like a smart shed consisted of a separate rooms one a toilet/sink and the other shower/sink. There was a wash up area on the side. There was also a portable loo by the chemical disposal/ rubbish area. All were clean and presentable with plentiful hot water though the shower was labeled as temperamental and lived up to its billing! The facilities were more than adequate for the 4 caravans and 3 tents on site(more comments later!)

The site was peace and tranquillity, wonderful views and despite the weather we were able to sit out and enjoy the peace and quiet, with only the faint moo of the cows and the quacking of the visiting ducks to disturb us. We were delighted by the campsite.

However we underestimated the bank holiday and by Thursday night the hoards began to descend, and our seaview started to disappear. Now I have never been to Glastonbury, but when we returned after a day out on the Friday the sight that greeted us can only be called Glastonburyesque! with a tangle of tents, campervans everywhere. Though the site of further more new arrivals on the Saturday desperately driving around trying to find a scrap of grass to pitch on was faintly amusing we found the queues for the facilities first thing in the morning annoying.

Nequay (1 mile downhill walk from camp) itself is beautiful, and the if your patient enough you will see the dolphins. Unfortunately because of the weather we didn't get much beach time so spent our holiday touring the coastline from Fishguard to Aberswytheth. Because we feel that we have seen everything along this coast we probably wont return to this area again, which is a shame because the site is lovely and Andy and Helen do work so hard to make everyone welcome.
