Have just returned from our holiday. We were a little nervous before we went as there weren't many reviews for this site. The tent pitch was huge and surrounded by hedges so it was private, enough space for our 7.5 by 3.5m tent, car and table etc with room to spare. There are 2 toilet blocks, 1 next to the pool which is fairly basic and 1 further down which is more modern. Both blocks are cleaned 3 times a day and are closed during cleaning but when 1 block is closed the other will be open.(Loo paper is provided but does run out, most French sites don't provide toilet paper so take your own!)
The site is clean and has a no noise policy after 10pm so by 10.30 it has usually quietend down. There is entertainment but we didn't bother so cant comment but this will be finished by 10pm so there will be no noise issues from that. If booking electric you will need a continental adapter for your outside hook up, we paid £5 from ebay. Although there is no club house or cafe there is a takeaway van which is open all week except Friday in peak season, Friday a pizza van visits, this was ok for us. The site shop sells the basics and you can order bread the day before.
We visited the beach which is down the road but it is an estuary which is beautiful but not suitable for swimming etc. Le crotoy is a short drive away and is a small fishing town which has a small sandy beach, some shops and cafes. If you want to purchase groceries there is a supermarket called simply a 5min drive away in Rue which is reasonable and much cheaper than the nearby carrefour.
Lots of places to visit in a short drive, Nausicaa in Bolounge(aprox 1 hour) Bagatelle theme park(30 mins) and the somme battle field tour is with in easy reach. If you don't want an over commercialized holiday this area is great(If you do want tourist places all are within a short drive). Les Aubepines nice clean campsite in a good location for day trips. Would visit again.

Well the website looked great and it's advertised as only 1km from the beach (actually a mile away from the beach which was smelly and dirty) also looked great so we booked and went as it's only just only an hour from Calais. Arrived on a Saturday and found it hard to find due to cars parked all along the road it was on. It then took ages to check in at reception due to slow service/lack of staff. Got given the pitch right next to the entrance so traffic noise/pool noise/dust/toilet noise/entertainment noise were pretty awful. Quite a few French teenagers on site blasting out music from their cars which you might end up camping next to! You also need an extra 40 euro's deposit for a keyfob to let yourself in and out of the place. Had our car window smashed mysteriously within a few hours of arriving to which the staff/owners showed no interest, the entertainment noise that night went on until 1.30am so it was an awful start. It did quiten down mid week and we did make the 20 mile journey to a much nicer beach at Cayeux sur Mere which was delightful with it's beach huts although pebbly. Site shop very basic, no bar, no restaurant although there are take-away facilities from various vans that visit the site on various evenings. Also, there are no toilet seats or toilet paper in the cubicles. Laundry facilities very expensive - £9 for a wash and a 1/2 hour dry. Nice area but would not go back to this site.
