We spent three nights at westacott farm we loved every second of it.

It was easy to find and as you pull up to the entrance there is a sign with your name and where you are pitching up. Even you pitch has your name lovely personal touch. We have arrived at 8pm went to pay and say hello to a lovely couple, they gave us a useful welcome back. From the farm house you could order some meat, eggs and milk. We had the sausages everyday for breakfast there where delicious. Beautiful views from the campsite. The toilet facilities where clean always and loo roll and soap. The showers had hot water. Also had music playing in there which was nice when having a shower.

There is a small petting corner with lambs chickens and goats (very cute).

They have kept the middle of the field as a grassy area to play ball games etc, even has a trampoline which the children loved.

Also which was a extra bonus was that you could hire fire pits. The owner would deliver them with all the stuff you need. Nearly everyone had one.

Defiantly would come back to stay and I highly recommend this campsite, it's quiet and short easy access to the a39 to Bideford and other areas.

Just stayed for 3 nights. Does just what it says on the tin, peace and quiet is perfect. Friendly helpful folks, do not be put off by first appearances it is a working farm, local pub ( 20 min downhill longer coming back)is dog friendly and does good grub. For the walkers it takes just over an hour on the excellent cliff path to westward ho and all its facilities. 2 minutes from the A39 trunk road but it feels like a hundred years when you listen to the silence on the campsite at night. Highly recomended for a base or retreat.

Wonderful site. We stayed in both Bay View and Lundy View fields and found them to have large pitches and good facilities. Bay View (for Camping and Caravanning Club members) has a useful room with a microwave oven, sinks and washing machine and also a wetroom with a fully adjustable shower (height, temperature, power). Lundy View has slightly more basic facilities and a trampoline for the children in the middle; and goats and sheep and chickens to admire (the goats are taken for walks around the site).

The owners were very helpful and friendly, even offering to move our van for us when we had to move fields (because we stayed 2 extra days).

The sunsets were amazing, with people rushing to take photographs.

You can walk to Greencliff Bay via a couple of very quiet lanes and a footpath (which continues along the coastal cliff path). Greencliff Bay has rock pools, piles of amazing large pebbles and of course a view of Lundy Island.

Will definitely be returning.

This is a brilliant campsite! We got our first tent this year and had only had a quick weekend trip till now to get used to it. This was our first long trip.

The campsite is well signposted and easy to find. On arrival the sign directs you to your pitch which is labelled with your name on it. You are greeted by the owners with a lovely big pack of tourist leaflets of local attractions to plan your days.

We were in Lundy View with hookup. The pitches were large, flat and well spaced out. The toilet and shower blocks were always clean and well lit. (with the added bonus of radio playing too)

There was a washing up room and plenty of drinking water taps. We also had use of the washer and dryer in the Bay View facilities. (1 for 15 minutes so bring plenty of change)

There was a large area in the middle of the field for kids to play complete with two large trampolines which were in almost constant use. There were also small farm animals in the corner of Lundy View to be seen and petted. (and a very vocal cockerel who insures you make the most of the day! LOL!)

They are very well positioned for sightseeing in North Devon. We enjoyed The Big Sheep which is just 5 min away. Bideford is 10 min away and Westward Ho is just 15 min away.

There is also a brilliant pebble beach with wonderful rock pooling nearby, however it is a very steep climb down and back up so be prepared. Well worth the climb though!

The highlight of the stay was the owners! They were amazing! Always smiley and nothing was too much trouble for them.

On the day we were meant to leave to another area for a few days with family, our van broke down! They were calm and oh so helpful. It ended up taking three days for our van to be repaired and each day we had no idea when it would be ready.

They rearranged the pitches so we could stay put where we were. The garage gave us a courtesy car which then broke down twice! The owner came and jump started us both times.

The whole thing got to be like a bad joke! They took such good care of us and made what could have been a complete disaster into a pleasant extension to our holiday. The owner helped us find additional (cheap!) things to do in the area and juggled other bookings to enable us to stay put.

I can recommend their farm's beef burgers, lamb burgers and fresh eggs. They also supply fresh milk to save extra trips to the shops.

We have found our favourite campsite down south and will be back next year for sure! Thank you to the owners for making us so welcome and for all their help!

We have just returned from a fabulous stay at Westacott Farm. We have been 7 years in a row and looking forward to returning next year. We stayed in Bay View which is the camping and caravanning club field mainly, but with one night in Lundy View as we decided to stay an extra night.

This is the friendliest site we have ever used, the owners are the most friendly, accommodating and helpful owners we have ever come across. The facilities in both fields are maintained to the highest standard. Toilets / shower regularly cleaned. Grass is regularly cut and fields always being maintained.

Lovely extra with the campfire. The fire pit and wood were extremely good value for money and really made for lovely evenings especially on clear evenings with a bit of star gazing.

This campsite has to be our no. 1 favourite. We never tire of the breathtaking views, amazing sunsets and exploring the local countryside and beaches.

Perfect get away if you prefer a quieter & picturesque campsite.

This site should be reviewed separately depending whether you are in the C&CC field or the open field as the facilities are different.

We stayed in the C&CC field - Lundy view.

This is a great site and extremely good value for money. The sunset views of Lundy are fabulous.

The staff are definitely the friendliest that we have ever dealt with.

Firepits for evening use are 5 including all wood and really add something special to the stay.

The toilets are clean and functional - always a nice hot shower although there can be short term issues with pressure while you are in.

The only reason that I give the site an 8 and not a 10 is because the pitches are not marked. On our first night we had a tent pitched within inches of one side of our van and a couple of visitors on the other side placed themselves so close that we could not park our car in front of the awning (or sit out there). The field is plenty big enough and if there were markers to show people where to pitch then everyone would get a fair share of it.
