A very pleasant 2 night stay.
We were sited on the hard standing part of the site which is on the opposite side of the main lake from the caravan field.
A very pretty site with a pleasant walk around the lakes. I didn't venture into the woods.
The club house was very clean and tidy and has recently been refurbished. The food also looked very good.
The electrics are only 6 amps and our van kept tripping out. The staff who were very friendly sorted us out with an extra long lead to another electric point.
The site is under new management who are in the process of upgrading the facilities and are aware that this is an area that needs attention.
Don't know about showers etc as I used my own.
If your into fishing (which I'm not) then this would be your perfect site.
Overall a very nice site.

We have just returned from our second stay this season at Henfold Lakes and we have had a wonderful time.
Just £11 for a non electric hook up.
The staff are all lovely, everyone staying on the site was so friendly and we passed the time of day with lots of interesting people.
Onsite restaurant / bar offering quite basic but more than acceptable food. Opens at 08. 30 and serves until 9pm. Can get quite busy for breakfast with cyclists popping in.
We went with our 11 year old son and we fished, built a fabulous camp in the woods, collected wood for our fire, he rode his bike and played on the rope swing. Come here if you want some relaxing family time and the opportunity for your kids to be kids as we were. There are lakes but you don't have to be parked too close to them so it is still safe for little ones.
Facilities are basic, located in portable cabins. My husband and son used the shower after sneaking onto the assault course (naughty, naughty !) and said it was very good considering in a portable cabin. Loos also clean - I only used the one in the restaurant and that was fine.
We live locally and so didn't visit the surrounding area but Box Hill, Leith Hill and Denbies are all very close.
We will be back without a doubt.

This is probably the nicest looking site that we have used. As said, there are several areas for caravans, we are on the CL which is right next to one of the larger fishing lakes. We don't actually fish, but it's great looking out at the various birds - many ducks, several kinds of geese, a heron, treecreepers, blue tits and others. Not seen any deer yet.
Dave the manager is pleasant and helpful; payment (cash or cheque) is asked for upon arrival plus a form to fill in with the usual details.
The price is now £15 which is worth it for the lovely surroundings, but beware that the electricity is only 6 amp so you need to watch out that you don't trip it. The other 2 gripes are a bit of a hill up to the site (quite short though), and the mud, would not like the CL if the weather was wet, not that the owner/manager can do anything about that.
Can't comment on the facilities as we haven't used them.
It's easy to find the site, directions as per the website and the roads are good. If going north on leaving, it's perfectly ok to turn right from the site, this will bring you out on the A24 just south of Dorking. Both Box Hill and Leith Hill are only a few miles away and well worth visiting.

Beautiful site. We were situated overlooking one of the lakes and as I like fishing could stagger the five yards to the lake. Though we know the area quite well a visit to Denbies vineyard in Dorking resulted in tasting and buying some excellent wine.
The fishing in the lake was excellent with good friendly advice from the owners.
The facilities are basic with portaloo style cabins for both toilets (2) and shower (2) but they were clean and efficient. Sometime in the future they are going to build a toilet block in a nearby barn. There were facilities for chemical and waste water disposal. Though the lake was adjacent there were several children around who seemed to be enjoying it particularly the fishing.
We were situated on the CL site but there was also a large field where the showers were situated on which several caravans were parked. On site there was a cafe but we did not try it but it seemed popular.
This is one site to which we will definitely be going back and look forward to seeing their improvements

Me and my partner had a weeks stay at this relaxing and stunning campsite.
I believe that the park has just been taken over and I did get the chance to meet one of the new owners.
They have recently installed some port-a-loos and showers for the convenience of the holiday makers and they have big ideas for the future.
My partner and I also had the opportunity of having a 2 hour fishing lesson with a guy called Graham Cridland who also works for a charity called West Sussex Angling Academy. His tuition was fantastic and for someone like me who hadn't even thought of going fishing, it was excellent. Graham has the patients of a saint and took time to let me know what I should and shouldnt be doing! The 5 lakes are beautiful and fully stocked. I caught 3 fish on my first attempt at fishing.
You are able to take your dog as long as it stays on a lead and there are countless walks through the woods (which are signposted).
There is also a Birds of Prey area where you have the opportunity on getting close to the birds, a paintball area, army assault course and quad biking on all site.
Dave who is the Site Manager is always on hand for advice about the area and to help out where he can.
We are definitely returning for a holiday next year when I hope to see some major changes to the site.
Its only a 10 minute ride into Dorking town centre where there are plenty of eateries and pubs to tempt you. Also, there are a few pubs just down the road which are very friendly and welcoming.
The bar/restaurant on site was nice with friendly staff. I believe that the new owners will be taking over from January and have some big plans for that too.
Overall, a wonderful and relaxing holiday was had by us both and our dog, Madison.

We have just returned from 2 nights from this wonderful not well known (yet) site and it is truly fantastic: very relaxing and so quiet. It is set in a stunning location of outstanding woodland about 10 min south of Dorking.
There are 5 well stocked fishing lakes available which are all well set for fishing each one with a different islands in them. Apparently according to my husband and friend the fishing was great! The walks on site here are very good and well signposted off site.
Also attached to the lakes/caravanning are paintballing, quad bikes, an army assault course and bird of prey centre. You can visit the birds of prey for a small charge (when open) but the other activities are not available immediately - they would need to be pre-booked and are mostly for corporate/groups.
There is a large amount of wildlife here, ducks/geese are plentiful and very well looked after by Dave the manager who is wonderful. He is very informative of the site and area and extremely helpful - especially with awnings! There are also deer here but we did not see them on this visit.
The caravanning are is huge and very well maintained, slightly undulating so choose wisely and the ground was easy to peg into. Where you pitch is fairly relaxed but good space must be between each van - there is a lot of room per van so groups are quite easy here. There are quite a few electric hook ups, but we found the tv reception not brilliant so would be happy to use solar here (the field is huge, so catching rays no problem!)
Apart from the big outside there is nothing apart from a lot of space for children: no playground etc.
The big downside for a lot of campers here is the lack of facilities - no showers/toilets or washing up areas. Water/waster and chemical disposal easily accessible. Because of lack of facilities this site does not accept tents.
The small club site on site next to lake 1 has toilets which are open to campers, we did not use as they are a little walk from camping area and not 24hours.
On talking to Dave it does seem that showers etc will be installed at some time but if you happy to use your own facilities this site is a real gem.
We did not leave the site on our visit as we were solely fishing and relaxing which luckily for us the weather was brilliant, but there are a lot of small villages around this area and of course London is not a million miles away.
Because of lack of facilities her this is reflected hugely in the price - £13 per night with electric! A really cheap weekend!
We will be returning very shortly.
