We stayed here for 5 days in June '09 so very quiet, weather was warm 20deg, but this is at 800mtres altitude so expect changeable weather. Toilet/shower/dish/clothes washing are all in the same block at reception, facilities are old but clean & the water was always hot. Long walk from end of campsite. Small bar at reception, that's it. Owner is fluent in English & very helpful, he will give you any info you need for sightseeing.
Campsite is in sight of large lake & there is a beach. Walk into village for small 'Casino' supermkt. Large supermkt & fuel in Mouthe, 7miles down a straight rd. Scenery in the area is lovely, this is ski country in winter. You can drive into Switzerland from here, Geneva is an easy day trip & there is no need to buy a vignette as you don't need to go on the motorway. Nice drive down the lake. Swiss cafes on the way will take €s, no need to change up CHFs.
Be careful driving the local narrow mountain roads, the locals do not hang around!
