Step into a bygone era of camping - ooodles of space, tranquility, few fellow guests, idyllic location - combine with high levels of contemporary comfort to provide the ultimate, desirable camping retreat ... and you've discovered the hidden gem that is Broad Meadow House.
Peacefully located along its own private lane in the heart of the unspoiled, historic Georgian seaport of Charlestown on the South Cornish coast, this one acre Seaside Meadow (which forms part of the house's grounds) is safely enclosed, south-facing, gently sloping, and about 100 yards from the cliff face with sweeping views out to sea.
Just 12 guests are welcomed on site at any one time (a few more may be possible if booking the whole meadow for a group). Three fully equipped, pre-pitched Coleman Dome tents, accommodating up to 8 people, are available to book on a Tent & Breakfast' basis (think B&B in a Posh Tent!). 2 or 3 DIY pitches are available by arrangement for those with their own gear (depending on the T&B occupancy). Small Camper Vans welcome (especially Vee Dubs's ... vintage or otherwise !).
Pre-booking is vital - popular months are sometimes booked 12 months in advance!
Private parking by main house - a short stroll from the tents (once you've off/on-loaded).

Traveling on A390 (St Austell By-Pass), pick up signs for Charlestown. Continue down hill into village. At mini-roundabout turn left into Quay Road. Keep raised grassy bank to your left; at corner of Shipwreck & Heritage Centre road splits 3 ways - take middle lane up short hill. At top of hill turn right into our lane (with gravel parking areas) - Broad Meadow House is at end of lane on left (detached, stone-fronted house).
