The Park is conveniently situated just off the Heads of the Valleys road at the foot of the Clydach Gorge (some road noise). It is located one mile from the village of Gilwern and 4 miles from the market town of Abergavenny and is within the boundaries of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The site is a small 20 caravan pitch touring site all with electric hook-ups (16amp). There are 10 hard standings and an amenities block containing 2 family shower rooms along with additional showers and toilets. Some tenting is also available.
The Park is open from March to October.
The Clydach Gorge is a fascinating mixture of beautiful countryside amongst which can be found relics of the industrial past. The wooded valley is mainly beech trees and has been declared a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Many caves can be found along the gorge and the area has become a favourite spot for cavers of all abilities. The area is a walkers paradise with the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons within easy reach. Easier walking can be enjoyed along the towpath of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. The area is excellent for bikers and Bike hire can be arranged The area offers 2 golf courses in Abergavenny and several others within half an hours drive including the Celtic Manor where the 2010 Ryder Cup was held. To find the park which is located just off the A465 between Abergavenny and Brynmawr, look out for the brown tourist signs showing "Clydach Gorge" Caravan Park and Picnic Area.
Nearby Attractions
Blaenavon World Heritage site and Big Pit Mining Museum is a short drive away. Brecon and Monmouthshire canal 1/4 mile away, boat hire available. Excellent fishing on the River Usk 1/2 mile away

The Park is easy to find, it is located just off the A465 4 miles west of Abergavenny, look for brown tourist signs for "Clydach Gorge"
