Welcome to our Family run boutique campsite. We are now taking bookings for 2013, and once again only 30 pitches will be available in each large field to ensure that you have the space and freedom to enjoy your stay. Last summer we were proud to be a part of the greatest show on earth when Weymouth played host to the sailing events at the Olympic Games. With so many great memories of an incredible summer of sport repeat bookings are sure to be popular this year, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Both fields enjoy stunning views of the White Horse and have their own facilties. The Farm is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty below the famous Osmington White Horse. The chalk figure has been part of the farm since it was cut into the hill in 1808. The huge portrait, visible for miles around, shows King George III riding Adonis, a Hanoverian horse foaled in 1784. The farm is managed traditionally in a natural way with the minimum of industrial processes, with cattle, sheep and horses grazing in large open fields. We keep the animals seperate from the campers so that both groups can admire each other from a distance. The farm is home to a host of wild flowers in many of the fields, including Orchids, Cowslips, Vetches, Rock Rose, Ragged Robin, Cuckoo Flowers and many more.
Footpaths and bridleways criss-cross the farm allowing you to explore the local area at your leisure, including the villages of Sutton Poyntz and Osmington. For those with an eye for simpler pleasures there are a number of local pubs to relax, unwind and sample some local produce.
Nearby Attractions
The White Horse Farm is nestled in a sheltered valley a short walk from the world famous Jurassic coast. As well as being a renowned spot for fossil-hunters, this stretch of the Weymouth coastline will shortly fall under a global spotlight as an Olympic venue. The local beaches offer hours of relaxing walks in stunning countryside Cycling, horse-riding and sailing are just some of the many other activities available nearby. And let's not forget Monkey World, the Sea Life Centre, Corfe Castle and Portland Bill Lighthouse. Whether it's whiling away the lazy days or an action packed burst of energy you're after, the White Horse Farm Campsite has a host of amenities on it's doorstep.
