Plenty of head room with 4 tent tidies on the front of the Bedroom, there is also 4 in the sleeping area too. Fly sheets on all 3 doors with the additional 4 windows to the front of the tent.

This is my second Gobi 4 (first one was returned to Go Outdoors after reading that a fellow member had did the same as me & picked up the one without SIG & after 2 weekends away in the none SIG I had this replaced By staff at Go Outdoors Many Thanks)
After years on 6 – 8 man tents I needed to size down & liked the look of the Gobi 4,
• Living area: This is great, loads of space & height is great plenty of room for tables & chairs , 3 good doors , ( 2 side & 1 front ) all with mesh , the windows allow for plenty of light to come in if required, I have also purchased the carpet which fits great
• Bedroom: Plenty of space in here , I know it says 4 man but always as the rule size it down by 1 so 3 comfortable, we use this as just 2 , this allows plenty of space either side of Mattress to store bags etc stacking units.
• Set Up: This took about 20 Minutes on last Trip but would say between 20 – 40 Minutes, very easy to put up , we put Both Black long sections in Fist , (Ring & Pin) then push grey centre poles though, Then peg out ,
• Features : Inside the living area there are pockets to holds bit & Pieces , the bedroom also has pockets to store things, the flap to feed electric hook up is great this has a zip that allows a nice sealed unit once you have fed your cable threw, Fluorescent Guy ropes
• Make Up : The tents hydrostatic is 3, 000 which is very good having been in the rain twice with no issues , the Gobi is also fire retardant.
On my last trip my friends were very impressed with My Gobi 4 that 2 have been to purchase these,
This is a great Tent & value for Money

This is so easy to put up compared with the Atakama 5, and I think its about the same sleeping compartment size. I love the fact you have 3 doors with flysheets. It also has only a few gu ropes making it quicker to put up than tunnel tents. The carpets fits also the sleeping area and porch making it versatile. Great for a couple as you have plenty or room for your food, cooker, chairs and table but small for 4 adults.

Only been out in it once yet, but what a fantastic experience, plenty of room for 4 of us to sit in and chat the night away, fly sheets on every door and a bedroom that fit 2 of us with room at both sides. For those who found it draughty I think if you put your bed the other way you will be fine. Quite easy to put up as we had not put a tent up since the kids were little and I think it will take even less time next attempt. Fluorescent guy ropes very handy as I seem to remember tripping a lot years ago! Definitely recommend to others

I have purchased this tent to have a good headroom and for my family of four. My children loved it and I must say this tent really gives you all that you need. I have came back from Italy after a one week camping and unfortunately someone stole my tent poles while I was paying the campsite owner. Can anyone who own one help me and give me how much poles there are in the four needed and which diameter or at least the length of each pole so I can buy a universal ones and use it again. I really love this tent and it would be a pity to leave it in the garage. Thank you all . You are my last hope since the manufacturer never replied back all my mails.

Bought this tent last week from Go Outdoors in Blackburn for £99 upgrading from an old small tent that we have been putting up with for years. What a complete joy. You could have parties in it, it's massive! Took it for a test run to the Yorkshire Dales last weekend. Took about 40 minutes to put up, mainly because I was trying to fix an end pole to a centre fixing. Der! Could easily pitch it in 20 next time. Very well designed and manufactured tent, with a number of very innovative ideas.
Weather was cold, windy and damp, but we were warm and dry. No problems.
Only thing we noticed was that it didn't have the sewn in ground sheet and the door opens to the side, so we couldn't use it as a porch. Hence 9/10 rating. I mentioned this in passing last night whilst in Go Outdoors (it's my new favourite place!) and the Manager, Ian, told us that we must have been given an old model in error. He said to just drop it in and he would replace it with the new version. Couldn't have been more helpful! 5* service. I know we're not supposed to name check, but I thought he deserved a big up!
Next week we're off to Snowdonia (the wettest place in the UK?) for a week. Will hopefully be able to upgrade the rating to a 10 using the new tent.

Had to decided between a 2010 gobi 4 or a 2011 rock4, so I bought the gobi 4 as it looked better and more water proof.
Took it home and could I pitch this bugger on my own. No! but then, one very windy evening I found how to do it as a solo pitch.
Step 1 - peg down the FRONT, must be the front, put the 2 horizontal poles (grey and thin) in, pitch them up together - if its windy they will flap a bit but keep going.
Step 2 - put in the long diagonal pole that goes from the right of the door (if your inside the tent) and peg that out then do the last remaining pole which sits on the very top and goes from back left to front right.
Now its pitched and wow is it good! - ok, it doesn't have an attached groundsheet but the riser is very good - plus if you get some duct tape it soon becomes attached :o). And ok, its not got the windows a Vango does, but its the little things, like the pockets are on 1 side - big enough for magazines, and the elastic in the poles is actually elasticated and doesn't snap! but the best thing, for me anyway is I'm 6ft6, and I can stand up in this tent, that should tell you its big!
Top tent!

We have used this twice now, easy to set up, once you get the hang of it. Defo get the carpet, it makes the world of difference, the only down side is the front, if its raining, and you open it, water comes in. Not a bit problem but more of a pain. We this for 2 of us, and have small Hi Gear bedside tables, like a home from home!

As an addition to the Gobi 4, very much recommend the Zenobi porch, its not an exact fit, and be warned it does take two to put it up, but great for extra storage (we use it as the kitchen) freeing up the living area. Get a couple of floor tiles and it becomes ideal. You can either use the front as an entrance door or you can remove the whole of the door if you want to sit in the sun.

We bought the Gobi 4 after having a look around for our first tent. We liked the space and practicality this design gave for the two of us.
After a little practise pitching on the footprint it only takes us about twenty minutes and is pretty straight forward. With the carpet(s) we've found the tent warm and comfortable.
The negatives are we found a couple of small seepages when it rains heavily over 24hrs and the bag it is supplied with is far too small. The two side doors would have benefited with curtained windows like the front door.
We plan to use the tent more this year, maybe with some re-proofing and definitely with a Zenobia porch.

Hi Gear's Gobi 4 tent (2011 model) has a spacious bedroom compartment and a full height living area. The taped seams, 3000H rated flysheet and sewn-in groundsheet give you ample protection from the wettest weather, while the two large mesh doors and rear bedroom vent provide lots of ventilation.
There's an access point for any electrical cable hook-ups, and tent tidies are included.
Pre-attached reflective guylines and pegging points on the skirt.
Mesh side doors, the large front door and living area windows means no dark corners and an airy, more spacious feel.
Ample storage space in the front porch lets you store muddy boots and gear, or furniture in there when it rains.
A comfortable and versatile tent for family, or groups of festival-goers.
