The Hi Gear Gobi4 is fantastic ! Easy to put up for first timers it took us 30 mins, there is plenty of room both in the sleeping area and living area. Plenty of head room with 4 tent tidies on the front of the Bedroom, there is also 4 in the sleeping area too. Fly sheets on all 3 doors with the additional 4 windows to the front of the tent.

All in all this tent is fantastic value for Money !

This is my second Gobi 4 (first one was returned to Go Outdoors after reading that a fellow member had did the same as me & picked up the one without SIG & after 2 weekends away in the none SIG I had this replaced By staff at Go Outdoors Many Thanks)

After years on 6 – 8 man tents I needed to size down & liked the look of the Gobi 4,

• Living area: This is great, loads of space & height is great plenty of room for tables & chairs , 3 good doors , ( 2 side & 1 front ) all with mesh , the windows allow for plenty of light to come in if required, I have also purchased the carpet which fits great

• Bedroom: Plenty of space in here , I know it says 4 man but always as the rule size it down by 1 so 3 comfortable, we use this as just 2 , this allows plenty of space either side of Mattress to store bags etc stacking units.

• Set Up: This took about 20 Minutes on last Trip but would say between 20 – 40 Minutes, very easy to put up , we put Both Black long sections in Fist , (Ring & Pin) then push grey centre poles though, Then peg out ,

• Features : Inside the living area there are pockets to holds bit & Pieces , the bedroom also has pockets to store things, the flap to feed electric hook up is great this has a zip that allows a nice sealed unit once you have fed your cable threw, Fluorescent Guy ropes

• Make Up : The tents hydrostatic is 3, 000 which is very good having been in the rain twice with no issues , the Gobi is also fire retardant.

On my last trip my friends were very impressed with My Gobi 4 that 2 have been to purchase these,

This is a great Tent & value for Money

This is so easy to put up compared with the Atakama 5, and I think its about the same sleeping compartment size. I love the fact you have 3 doors with flysheets. It also has only a few gu ropes making it quicker to put up than tunnel tents. The carpets fits also the sleeping area and porch making it versatile. Great for a couple as you have plenty or room for your food, cooker, chairs and table but small for 4 adults.

Only been out in it once yet, but what a fantastic experience, plenty of room for 4 of us to sit in and chat the night away, fly sheets on every door and a bedroom that fit 2 of us with room at both sides. For those who found it draughty I think if you put your bed the other way you will be fine. Quite easy to put up as we had not put a tent up since the kids were little and I think it will take even less time next attempt. Fluorescent guy ropes very handy as I seem to remember tripping a lot years ago! Definitely recommend to others

I have purchased this tent to have a good headroom and for my family of four. My children loved it and I must say this tent really gives you all that you need. I have came back from Italy after a one week camping and unfortunately someone stole my tent poles while I was paying the campsite owner. Can anyone who own one help me and give me how much poles there are in the four needed and which diameter or at least the length of each pole so I can buy a universal ones and use it again. I really love this tent and it would be a pity to leave it in the garage. Thank you all . You are my last hope since the manufacturer never replied back all my mails.

We love our home from home and really glam it up with bedside tables and carpets! We went away bank holiday this year and it poured down, however our trusty Gobi 4 kept us warm and dry. There is just the two of us so this tent is more than enough for us. My only gripe and this is a small one; it is a dome tent and I tried to erect it on my own. Impossible, you need at least 2 people. Apart from that I cannot and will not grumble tis a Tent for all!

Just upgraded to a larger tent and this is ideal a large bedroom and living area with 3 doors, quite easy to set up and take down especially in wind and pouring rain of which we seem to have a lot of at the moment,no leaks and stood up to some strong winds.Only niggles are the front when it rains when opened it runs into the tent so use side door and the bag is to small, carpet and footprint are worth investing in, keeps the tent clean and if dry you only have them to clean at home rather than having to mess with the tent.

My camping experience dates back to when I was in guides but have recently bought road bikes and camping is a brilliant way of a weekend cycling! My husband is 6ft 4 and the height of the tent was the main reason we chose the Gobi 4. There are only 2 of us and we have plenty of room for a double airbed with lots of space at the side for a newly purchased camping cupboard to store our clothes! We have used a foldaway picnic rug instead of buying the official carpet as much cheaper, and find that as we have the camping stove etc at one side we don't need to cover the whole of the living area floor. We have only used it for dry camping as we are cycling and a rainy weekend wouldn't be much fun! It was cold at night the last time we used it but had a small heater and it was soon cosy. Wouldn't fancy sharing it with more people as it would feel cramped but for 2 adults it is more than adequate. Easy to put up but would recommend a trial first before first use.

Just returned from our first weekend camping in our Gobi 4 and loved it! Previous tent was an Easycamp Licata 3 which we really liked, but found a bit lacking in 'living space' when it poured down with rain for several days in France last year, even for only two of us. Bought the Gobi soon afterwards but hadn't had the chance to try it out, other than pitching in the garden, until now.

Being bigger, and with an extra pole, it's a little more complicated to pitch than the Licata but we had it up, with canopy, and all set up inside within an hour, which I'm sure will get quicker with practice. The space inside is tremendous and having the option of the side doors means whichever direction you're facing you can still get light in, with the protection of the mesh screens an added bonus. Fully sewn in is essential for me and this fitted the bill perfectly.

Having read previous reviews we got the Rock 5 canopy (second hand - an absolute steal on ebay!)and were really pleased with it. This meant that even in quite windy weather we could cook outside and sit out. Can't wait to take it away again!

We have used this tent twice before and this last time with our new zenobia porch. It is a brilliant tent for us being a family of 2 adults& 2 children. We can get 2double airbeds in the sleeping pod without too much of a squeeze! The living area has plenty of room for our 4 chairs plus storage unit and clothes. We purchased the porch to enable us to cook and eat undercover, just in case of a quick rain shower!Though it was a struggle to get up and to get a good fit it was well worth the effort. We are very happy with performance of tent and porch over such a wet weekend! No leaks!
