We recently up graded from a Vango Orchy 600 to the Tigris 800 and I love this tent.
We've used it twice now and it's taking us about 30 mins to put up between 2 of us. We bought the tent as a package and had the footprint and carpet included in the price, I would recommend both products also.
Plenty of space inside (but there are only 3 of us and we only use 2 of the 4 sleeping pods!) and the amount of storage pockets inside are plentiful. I especially like the way you can use the larger front door (if you are not using that area as a bedroom) as a sun canopy. This is especially useful if it is raining as I took out the cooking equipment and cooked under cover, away from my little one.
Great headroom in the main area and in the sleeping pods. The TBS tension band system really helps to strengthen the whole tent. As everyone else says, the pegs that vango supply are appalling!
As with all tents we have to battle to get it back in the bag, but what's new there?!
I would recommend this tent.

We're just back from our first weekend in our new Vango Tigris 800 and we're very happy campers
We've put a lot of thought into our new tent, I've read loads of reviews, looked a what seems like hundreds of tents, we finally settled on this and we couldn't be happier. We came close to spending £500+ on a big Outwell tent, but in this tent we saved a lot of money and I think get a tent just as good.
On the Plus Sides :
It's very easy to put up, took us about an hour first time, but I think we'd have it down to a half hour in future.
It has a huge living area, we comfortably sat with 7 adults and 3 children one morning inside the centre.
There are different layouts and entrance doors to set it up with: We put our daughter next to us and our 2 sons the other side and used the other room as a dressing/ clothes room, which was great as you could fully stand up in it.
It's not that expensive, we paid £250, a lot cheaper than other tents of a similar size.
It stood up to some strong winds and heavy rain without any trouble.
There are loads of handy storage compartments.
On the Down Side (these are very minor points)
You have to duck your head to walk in, only slightly and once your in there's all the room in the world.
There's no porch area, again it didn't bother us, but if it had an entrance porch it would be the ultimate tent.
On the whole we would recommend this tent to anyone looking for a good size family tent.

I owned a trailer tent but sold it last year as I was fed up of falling out with my husband putting it up, I cant begin to tell you just how easy it was to erect the Tigris 900. I was also very impressed with the living space loads of room for everything a family of 6 needs especially when 4 members of that family are growing boys.
We also researched on the net and walked the camping shops in and out of tents and when we saw this one up in one of the shops we knew straight away it was the one for us due to the sheer floor space and great value for money.
I have to agree though where the pegs are concerned though they bent virtually as soon as they touched the ground.
Apart from that I loved my Tigris 800 and look forward to lots of trips over the summer.
I would highly recommend the Tigris to anyone

Just used this tent for the first time, and our first time putting up a tent of this size. So easy to put up and very roomy. Lots of storage space and different set ups for the doors which is fantastic for windy / rainy days. Bedrooms very large and if you only use one side of the bedroom pods the living space is fantastic.

This new tent is an upgrade from a domed tent with pods, we were a bit unsure of a tunnel tent but the reviews we looked at seemed so positive - we are very pleased with the new tent. DVD said 20 mins to put it up and we definitely had what looked like a tent in less than 20 mins, the ropes took over 30mins but over all it went up easily, quickly and smoothly.
We bought the footprint, extension & carpet with this tent which all worked out very well. The footprint helped us to decide the exact position to pitch in before we had poles and canvas to move about! My husband used the extension as a kitchen area and it was big enough for that and more. The carpet felt lovely and made the tent feel so cosy and warm.
Just had 3 nights to trial run before a big holiday in August and everything about the tent worked well, we had 3 kids & 2 granparents and still it seemed very roomy, there was plenty of living space even with all the bedrooms up.
Highly recommended.

I love our Tigris 800! After looking at & stepping in & out of what seemed like hundreds of tents, we stopped looking the day we saw this! The living space is fab for the four of us, but we have also had 8 of us in there, & there was still plenty of room The versatility of the sleeping pods is great;, if you don't need all the pods, it gives you a huge living area. The side exstension, (with a door) came as part of our package, & this is great for keeping the cooking/kitchen equipment in, & also somewhere to take off wet clothes if needed - although it (the extension) doesn't have a ground sheet, and the door is 'flappy' which I thought was just the way we put it up, but we've been back to the shop where we bought it from, & it's the same there! There's plenty of storage pockets in the main living area & also in each sleeping pod. I also like the fact that the ground sheet can be dropped down by the doors which means no tripping over!
We've used our Vango a couple of times now, but the last trip we had some heavy wind & rain & the tent stood up well to the test, & we were really warm & cosy. We have got quicker each time we've put it up (even in the tail end of a hurricane!), & putting it all back gets easier each time, and we managed to get it all back in the bag - no problems! All in all a fantastic tent, well worth the money, although what we paid for it was great value, we are now looking into getting the tunnel extension for the other side, & the carpet (everywhere we tried had sold out due to this tents popularity!) We can't wait to go on our next camping trip.

Well what more can I say than we love it. We have only recently bought this tent after looking at hundreds(or at least it felt like that). We have been away a couple of times now and cannot fault it at all, it was warm dry and most of all spacious. The only thing I was going to fault it on was the fact that if you only wanted the large bedroom up that you could not do it on the far side to be able to put the main door open but after reading other reviews we have worked out that this is possible you just take no notice of the colour coding.
The tension band system is fantastic as well, no problems at all well recommended.

Fantastic, we have just returned from a few days in Buxton, it rained solid for 24 hours with added wind, the tent stood upto it no problems, although I'm suffering! watching us get a soggy muddy tent into the car must have been great fun for other campers.
Anyway, loads of room, the pods are really spacious and plenty of pockets for you to pop your night time things into, storage in the main area was really good, especially for the kids stuff, we used the fourth pod as a dressing room, which was great, in the past we have keep things in the car.
There were five of us using the tent, the kids sat and played in one of the pods, as there was so much room, there is a hole for the electrics.
Try to think which type of door you want to use when pegging out, as both side doors are different, one can be used as a roof type shelted the other doesn't, although the pods are colour coded, you could swap them no probs. I did watch the DVD, my youngest watched it 4 or 5 times! but it doesn't have enough information on it, it only shows you what most people already know by the time they are buying this size tent.
Once up, which was easy, I had to re-adjust some of the polls as the pods were tight and pulling in some areas, next time I wont tighten anything till all the pods are in, I have the porch on order, with the door, to give us some more space.
We did buy some sturdy pegs, so they weren't a problem.
Over all we are really impressed with this tent and would recommend it to everybody, I think it would be great for two people with lots of living space and using the end door plenty of space to put bikes ect, you could use the two pods and have four in there, or as we did with all four pods. Well worth the money

What a cracker. Been camping for 40 years and updated my tent to a Tigris this year. Other models I have had in the past don't compare. Easy to put up (says needs two ) I put up on my own ( family coming down next day) foot print makes it easy. Loads of room had a front extension for it to use as kitchen area . Using just the one bedroom on front end . Loads of storage bags . Was used in prolonged rain and no leaks . And goes back into bag with no problems. As for the poles I found no problems with but was 2010 model so may have sorted it out . I have updated to a touring van but no way am I letting this tent go with use in summer months .

The Vango Yukon range of tents has been replaced by the Vango Tigris range - which in turn are very similar to the Nevada Range already produced by Outwell. The Tigris has a very simple 5-pole fiberglass pole structure but one that gives great head height and therefore one that gives a light and airy feel. There are also flexible bedroom arrangements and storage options a plenty plus three entrance options. The tent frame is constructed with Powerflex fiberglass poles, a Protex 3000 Polyester flysheet (3000mm hydrostatic head protection) and as is the norm these days, the groundsheet is fully sewn-in to keep out unwanted pests and draughts. The other key features of the tent include a waterproof exterior storm skirt, flysheet first pitching, 2+2+4 (with divider) sleeping compartments, colour coded poles, TBS tension band system for extra strengthening in adverse weather, 10,000mm HH internal polyester groundsheet, cable entry point and tidies, mesh double doors, mesh vents, pelmet and inner tent pockets, 'Crystal Clear' windows, double zip windows (for vent/light/cover flexibility), breathable fabric inner tent, inner tents and divider can be removed when not in use, parallel zipped front door can be used as a sun canopy, canopy over side door, rain gutter zip covers. Saddle bag and repair kit included. Flame retardant throughout.
