We put this tent up for the first time on a site where we could see the sea and it was very windy but it was very easy.

We hadnt bothered to weather the tent before going away and we had some very wet and windy weather to put up with over the weekend. We didnt have any problems with leaks .

The space inside the tent is fantastic we loved everything about this tent.

The only slight problem we had the same as the previous review was getting some of the poles apart but a bit of washing up liquid did the job.

Needing to replace my dark Khyam we stumbled over the Vango Monte Verde 9. We bought it with footprint and carpet and set off on holiday. Easy peasy to pitch, wonderful space and we just loved it. However. Carpet annoyingly kept creeping down one end of tent. Then the rain came and we go soaked inside the tent. Having pots and pans every where and wellies on, it was not great. Tent also leaked from hooks in floor. We also found 3 holes in tent. We send it back to the shop who carefully tested it and returned to us saying it was the worse and shockingly badly manufactured tent they had seen for a long time. DON'T BUY. We got our money back and have now bought an Outwell Arkansas 7. Fingers crossed.

Used for eight days Whitsun Holiday. Easy enough to pitch, (got our own method) in about 45 minutes. Would recommend you watch video first on how to erect it, then work out what method is best for you. We found inserting the keys in the poles impossible at first and then realised that if you pull as much of the tent over the roof poles towards you, then put the key in, it IS as easy as it looks on the video. Just glad we set it up in the garden first!

We invested in footprint and carpet, in my opinion could have done with velcro to keep carpet in place as it rucks up due to deliberate 'split' about half way to accommodate fixing point for extra pod.

Me being only 5ft 2 cannot reach to hook pods onto roof of tent. But head room wonderful for the taller people.

Very roomy and plenty of light, due to large windows.

Only fault we found was eyelets came off on front double door ground sheet, but have replacement rubber ones which provided instant fix.

Poles are hard to pull apart, but a little oil did the trick.

We weathered our tent before we went and had no leaks whatsoever despite a couple of bursts of rain.

Would definitely recommend buying one. It is a fairly large tent and you should check with sites BEFORE you book, to see if they can accommodate you and whether they will charge you extra.

We've given this tent a high score as it is almost perfect but there were a few niggly faults that pulled it from a 10/10; without those however it would certainly have reached that height.

The tent is easy to pitch once you get the hang of it and certainly does not need the three shown in the video; my hubby mostly pitched on his own with me just to lift and prop. Similarly he brought the tent down almost single handedly.

We did invest in the footprint and carpet and it was well worthwhile.

Loads of space, attractive, the covered porch with the doors is just wonderful in less balmy weather. You could easily sleep more as well, as the inner area is so well obscured.

Only niggles: we have to re-sew a strap for one pod that came undone, and the poles were really hard to pull apart. Also, there's a central point in the porch that is a pod anchor point (that was a bonus we had not expected) and water seeped in around that so we will need to re-seal.

Would we buy again? Absolutely; by far the best of it's size and type that we found. But the niggles would be better sorted, and may well have been isolated to our tent.

Oh and you'll need a big pitch: Forest Holidays charge an extra £3 a night for it (pegged size). Not the end of the world but you do need to be careful where you book.
