Arranged as vis a vis with living in the middle. Loads of bedroom and living space.
Light weight to put up with fibreglass poles with ring and pin system. Easy to open vents and windows with bug screens :-)
We have just upgraded from an 8 to a 10 berth for our family of 6 (3 girls and 1 boy). The 3 girls had one side of the tent (space for 5), the boy next to us and we had the last bedroom designed for 3. There was enough space in our room for 2 large single airbeds with a clothes holdall between.
Hubby, 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son put it up on their own. I arrived with the other 2 in time to be supportive ;-) while they put up the porch !
We bought a porch and it is big enough for a cooker stand, table and outdoor toys.

We have stayed in friends tents before but this was our first family tent purchase. We wanted quite a large tent to allow for friends and family to join us.
We purchased the tent for £249 from go outdoors. We have used the tent a couple of times and have to say we are really happy with it. It is easy to erect and once the main part is up my wife normally sorts out the bedrooms while I finish of the rest. The windows are large and let in plenty of light. I find the fact the windows roll down slightly strange but this makes no difference. The pockets on the bedrooms are very handy and keep odds and ends tidy. There is a lot of room inside for wet days and we use one of the bedrooms for storage when we are camping alone. There is mozzi mesh across doors and windows which helps air the tent on warm day. It has only rained once while camping so far but there were no problems with leaks so far. We have not used the tent in strong winds yet but with nthe amount of guy ropes and pegging points im sure it will be fine.
Overall really pleased we purchased this tent and the reviews on here helped with our decision.

Bought tent refurbished from Gelert Seconds Porthmadog on ebay for £130 The Day after it got here (wakefield) Went for a week in north Wales even though it was first time, tent went up with ease. During week we had every weather known to man rain, gale force winds, blazing sun it stood up to everything. Loads of space carpet is a must. Have bought porch since another must.

We purchased a Hi Gear Kalahari 10 Berth Tent last year as we wanted to upgrade. It was the best purchase we made and reasonably priced. The tent is very spacious inside, plenty of head room, we used one of the rooms for storage which keeps the living area tidy and the storage pockets are handy too. The living area fits up to ten people comfortably if it is raining. We also purchased a porch which came in very handy for when it rained because it kept the rain out of the tent when you where walking in and out. It also kept the shoes dry, so that you didn't walk mud or grass into the tent. It is big enough to store your cooker, cooker stand and table in there. The tent and porch were very easy to assemble, but did need at least 2 people. The tent took half hour to put up. I would highly recommend this tent for families.

We finally used our tent in July 2011 after buying it the previous August in the GO sale.
It's a fantastic tent and we were very pleased. The height is excellent - I'm 6'4' and had a good 6' between me and the roof!
The bedroom pods at either end are ample for five people - there are five of us, so the beauty was we left one end clear and this meant plenty of room for the kids to entertain themselves with pens and paper when inside the tent.
A very sturdy tent which stood up well to the weather - it was quite windy, and one night it rained solidly from 9pm until 8am. One very slight leak but that was due to the porch straps coming over the roof - more on that in my review of the kalahari porch.
Plenty of pockets to put things - each side of the bedroom pod has four (maybe five) pockets to put torches etc. And on the outside of the pod there is a 'ladder' of pockets - very handy for small items or socks etc.
We got the carpet too which was fantastic underfoot. Far more comfortable than just walking on the plastic groundsheet. The footprint also did the job and ensured our tent went back in it's bag the same condition it came out in - completely clean.
It's a great tent and I can't recommend it enough. For the price it beats everything else hands down.

Bought this wonderful tent after returning a Vango 800dlx to go outdoors, we had used it and it had no manufacturing faults, but.We have a dog, and the Vango does NOT fasten all the way around the doors! first night dog went astray, made a getaway very easily under the door that was only sealed by a couple of velcro strips. So 'bad' Vango!
Anyhow, explained to go outdoors who were amazing. Accepted Vango back even though it was now used, and told us the 10 man kalahari was on offer for 50p less than the 8 man version. The winning thing with this tent was that all the exits zip all the way around so no escaping dogs, toddlers etc.
Used the kalahari 10 last week, amazing amazing amazing. What a fabulous tent and what amazing customer service, big hi 5 to the stoke branch, the manager even offered to drop the tent off for us as we were camping at glencoe (fab site, elec hook up for tents). Now going to get the porch extension. This tent has made me fall in love with camping.

Wow, after struggling to put up my old large pod tent what a revelation this was. We were looking at the Kalahari 8 but at the time we went to buy the 10 was actually cheaper!
The first time we used it was last weekend, had the main structure up and sorted within 30 mins with another 30 mins doing guy ropes etc (well it was the first time).
On the first night we had really heavy rain and for the first time in camping experience we had a bone dry tent interior!
A very large, very impressive element proof tent which was simple to put up and put away for 250.00, my wife and I actually joked we had stayed in smaller but more expensive holiday apartments.
Not sure you could holiday with 10 people in this tent but a large family would be able to fit in and live comfortably with the Kalahari 10 without feeling cramped, its huge!

We purchased this tent second hand of ebay with the carpet and footprint and very quickly added the porch! We are a family of 2 adults, 2 children (aged 1 and 7) and an Old English Sheepdog (hence the requirement for the porch).
This is a fantastic tent! For the size it really is simple to pitch and takes me and my partner 10 minutes to pitch and me a further 15 mins to put all the pegs in whilst she does the insides (bedrooms etc)
The carpet is a very pleasant addition, specially first thing on a cold morning and and footprint is also very useful when pitching and to protect the tent. I would recommend this tent to anyone who will listen so save your ears and buy it!

We bought this from Go Outdoors recently on one of their package deals. As a family of 5 (3 boys 7 & under) found the tent very spacious with the one of the smaller 'double' bedrooms ideal for a travel cot plus another used as storage to keep all the usual luggage needed out of the way.
Main living area is great, very cosy with the carpet and ideal for kids to play in when wet and windy.
Easy for 2 people to put up, even on your own at a push once you have got started. No issues with condensation like other tents we have used. Our first time was recently and was rather wet and windy. Stood up really well to the weather. Would agree with other comments that the vents do flap a little but is a minor issue only.
It might be a big tent but is easy to manage and transport. Absolute bargain if you time it right.

Purchased this tent from Go Outdoors a few months ago when the '10' was cheaper than the '8'. We'd previously had a dome tent where you could only just about stand up in the sleeping compartments (I'm only 5ft). As our children are growing up and getting considerably taller than me we wanted a tunnel tent after seeing a friends. It is brilliant, loads of space, great storage pockets and plenty of them. The footprint sheet makes it so easy to put up. Probably took 30-45 mins with the children's help as it was windy at the time but still easy to pitch. We didn't really need the '10' as we are two adults two children but as we had so much space the children could bring friends camping too. They had one end with the separator between the sleeping compartments which we undid in the end as the boys slid under it during the night in their sleep! Seemed pointless having it done up. The smaller end would be perfect if using camp beds or a cot. There was enough room for 5 children and some of their luggage in one end. The central living area is very spacious. The vents didn't secure particularly well so they did flap quite a bit at night, rather annoying but the only negative point I can think of. Although this is much bigger than our previous dome tent this tunnel tent is much easier to pitch. I would definitely recommend it.

Manufacturer's Description
Hi Gear's Kalahari 10 is a spacious and stable tunnel-style tent that's packed with features and versatility for a stress-free camping experience.
It's pre-attached high-visibility guylines, slick pole sleeves, and welded polyethylene groundsheet make pitching the tent a quick and easy affair.
The living space is a generous 10m², and the bedrooms comfortably sleep five at each end of the tent, in a 2+3 inner arrangement with breathable inner walls.
The sewn-in groundsheet combined with the fire-retardant polyester flysheet (with 3000mm hydrostatic head) give you a fully sealed and ventilated internal environment, so you'll be completely protected from draughts and even the heaviest sustained downpours.
The large living space has two 'privacy' windows and hanging storage pockets to help keep it tidy and liveable.
The two doors can be propped and extended out to use as a canopy, using the steel porch poles, giving you shelter from rain or stretching the space out for more room if it's sunny.
Other features include water-repellent zips, an electrical cable access point, and multiple ventilation points along the roof line.
Easy to pitch, generously spaced and comfortable to live in, the Kalahari 10 is a great choice for families or groups who need convenience and quality wherever they're going.
