This is a great family Tent, with plenty of room in the living area - great if it is raining.
We used to own a Wynnester Pheonix tent which had a similar living area and until this tent we could find nothing to replace it for space. It even works out lighter than the our previous tent so great.
Outwell, if you are reading these please take note: it would be better if the windows opened in some way as the only way to ventilate the tent is to open the doors or the vents around the side, which in hot weather are not enough.
The door - like all Outwells is a fag to use being in 2 sections that means 2 zips to undo to get in , 3 if you want to completely open the door, if you have the inside meash net rolled up then the tent door is not sealed along the bottom other than with 3 pieces of velcro. Outwell should copy the Wynnester door idea which is much more practical.
Otherwise a great tent, we have managed to pitch the Outwell nevada tent and have all our kit into it and laid out in about a hour, much faster than the dome design of the Wynnester.
The extension makes great sense, for only an extra £100, but we have yet to get one, it makes sense as it then protects the door way from any rain, it having a sloping front. But don;t forget this adds many Kgs and packing space to the tent.
If you are umming and arhing between a Nevada M and an XL, go for the XL There is very little extra weight - 1 pole and one panel which all packs up in about the same volume as the M, so for 1.2 metres more living space go for the XL !
We managed to get a bargain by buying the tent, footprint and carpet all together and so got the tent for £320, so hunt around for deals on the internet and take them along to the shop you want to buy from, you never know.

I have owned several tents, and the Outwell Nevada XL outshines them all, super size, totally waterproof, windproof, spares available readily, separate bedrooms, carpets as extras made to measure, doors in abundance. Privacy guaranteed when needed with the separate rooms at each end of the tent, which can be removed if extra living space is needed. I would not hesitate to buy another if this one failed.
Despite its size of around 27ft, it only took myself and one teenager around half an hour to erect. It took longer to get the sleeping bags and equipment into the tent than it did to erect it.
Highly recommended - you won't go wrong with this tent, if you get chance and this is the right size - go for it, you won't be disappointed.

We absolutely love this tent. There is loads of room in the living area with lovely floor to ceiling windows which give lots of light. The main sleeping quarter is on one side of the living area and the other, with a divider in it that can be taken up, is at the other side. We easily fit our large queen size Coleman bed in the main sleeping quarter with plenty of room to spare. There are lots of pockets in the sleeping area and the living area for storage.
We have the extension which provides plenty of space for our camp kitchen and somewhere to leave shoes etc. We also have the carpet which I wouldn't be without and the footprint.
We have camped three times in this now. It has withstood being blown across a campsite (Don't ask!) and one of the worst storms I've ever experienced in France.
The only negative thing I can say is that it's a shame the extension doesn't have a zip down front to protect what's under it from the elements.
We have two children and it has been plenty big enough for us all plus their friends who always seem to end up sleeping in it too. If you can find one grab it!

Loved this tent from the minute I bought it. Was really easy to put up just two adults with 2 kids running riot.
The fact that the bedroom were already fitted helped a lot as no sooner than we had put it up the heavens opened. So we bundled the kids and an airbed and some games in one room filled the other with stuff and the last room our friends used to put thier stuff while they put their own tent up. Is great for big trips we went with 2 adults and two kids first time and used the spare room for the loo and storage. Second time we went had 4 adults and 3 kids a camp kitchen, loo, wardrobe etc and still room to sit round at night. Withstood some pretty gusty winds in Morecambe and the rain too. We added a vango sun canopy to gain an eating area in the windy raining times this went really well with the tent. Found the same problem as another user with zipping it up at night due to the brow pole pulling the zips tight but found it only a very minor problem. Love the carpet very warm. Also highly recommend the footprint no more folding up mucky tents to go home. Definitely recommend this tent for families if you can get hold of one.

We bought this tent 2 months ago from Winfields, and used it last week for the second time. Really easy to put up, and there's loads of space inside. It came with the free carpet which gives a cosy feel when inside. The weather was very rainy, but the tent did not let us down at all. Cant wait to go camping again!

We received our Nevada XL last week and decided to try it out this weekend.
We camped in Buxton and it POURED the whole day on Saturday. Sad to say, but the tent leaked - from the roof where the lamp hangs in the main area; from one of the corners of one of the side doors; and from the outter tent's corner attachment points (stress points). When we were packing up and I have removed the airbeds, there was a puddle of water under one inner tent, and the other inner had a dampened rug which I put in there (we only used the other bedroom, where the puddle was).
Another problem - the zips of the door (where the fibre glass pole of the 'hood' is attached) were difficult to close, due to the stress caused by the too-long poles provided for the hood, bowing the zips. If we ever decided to keep this tent, we would have had to saw off probably an inch each end of the pole.
Another thing wrong with the tent - there was only three pegging points (ie, one in the middle) at the end of the tent where there's no door (at the end where there's a door, there were two in the middle). The wind blew rain under the flysheet and this probably added water into the puddle underneath the inner tent.
We have returned the tent and have asked for a refund. Sadly, they said they would have to check it out first before giving us our money back. But how are they going to prove us wrong, unless they try the tent out in the rain?
One thing I really liked, though, about this tent was the pitch-as-one system, even though it still took us about 40 mins to put up - for the first time.
Would I buy another Nevada XL? Maybe, but considering it might leak again, not for £214.95, even if the carpet's free.

We bought our Nevada XL from Winfields Megastore in May for £229.00, it came with the bonus of a free carpet and we also invested in a side extension for this model which cost £80.00 from Intertent. The extension gives an ideal place to cook and sit and has two large side windows. The tent is large and airy, inside we had plenty of room to sit around a table and this coupled with the carpet gives a cosy feeling at night. It was easy to erect and pull down, we also bought a 'Footprint' ground sheet which is put down first. This not only gives added protection for the built in ground sheet but it also keeps the bottom of the tent clean and dry which is useful when packing it back into its bag.I would highly recommend this tent to both novices and hardened campers who like a few home comforts when camping.

We bought ours in September 2007 and used it in October 2007 and again in May 2008. Haven't had any problems with it, very warm and cosy inside. Would definitely recommend this tent to any family group. All that the previous reviewer quoted is correct. When we bought ours we got a carpet to fit inside free of charge and two chairs as part of the package for £279. The carpet is a snug fit and keeps everything dry inside with the doormat which was provided also.
Excellent rating

I bought the 2007 model in April 2008 for £229. The 2008 model sells for £299.
The tent was very easy to erect in 20 minutes with 2 people. It has sewn in groundsheet throughout.
The bedrooms can be left hanging inside to pitch the tent, saving time. One 4 berth room and one 4 berth with a divider to make it into 2 rooms if required. Either of the inners can be removed if not required.
The tent has a zipped cable access point for electric hookup, and a row of velcro tabs along the inside of the roof to hang the cable.
There are storage pockets in the living area and also inside the bedrooms.
There are 2 side doors, one with a rain hood, and the other can be poled out as a sun canopy, and a large front door, also can be used as canopoy to give plenty of ventilation. Poles for canopies available seperately. All doors and windows have mesh screens too. Window curtains roll up from inside the tent.
There is plenty of light inside due to the huge size of the windows.
Excellent quality tent, can't find any faults with it. Would be suitable for beginners and for a large family for long stay holidays.
