I recently purchased the 'Marseilles 9 dlx' direct from KHYAM TENTS. I needed speedy delivery as was going away 3 days from placing the order in the afternoon. True to there word, the tent arrived on time, packaged well and undamaged, always a good start.
When we arrived at our campsite we got started straight away as it was a tad windy and not looking too good. It says '25' mins pitching time, I wasnt going to kid myself thinking I could do it in that short time so set aside an hour ( as it was the first time putting up this tent) the wind blew and the rain came, which made the tent a 9 birth kite at 1 point! with a little help from a neighbouring camper the tent was up in just over the hour, and how impressive it looked! yes its a big tent and takes a lot of space but it is more than worth it once up!
Because of the high wind I had to adjust the guy lines to get the tent into proper shape but it wasnt a problem. Once in the tent, through 1 of 2 porch doors, it was even better inside than out, loads of space for all the 4 pods, large living area and the extra with the porch made everything easier. Electric cable entry by the main tent door ( to the left, from inside) very strong sewn in ground sheet, and 5000+ hh is superb, the rain came and where I hadnt pulled tight some guy lines started 'pooling' on the porch', there must have been 15litres of water but nothing got through! the weather for the rest of the weekend was pretty much the same but it didnt show once inside this superb tent. I have a family of 6, 2 girls 2 boys so wanted the separate pods. All of us were very comfortable and very pleased with our new 'khyam' tent. When taking the tent down, for a change it was windy and raining, so with help again, it was done in 20mins, although I got very muddy in the process.
9/10 for this big bad boy tent, if you purchase you will not be disappointed
