Great tent for 2, I have added some picture to try to demonstrate the space. Straightforward to erect, but look at the video on youtube first its a big help. We had very wet weather in September and no problems, however I would have given it 9 if there had been a porch or at least a peak over the door. I will be getting the extension if only as a boot and sandwich making space to keep inside cleaner. The carpet is well worth it, especially if it is cold or wet. It really helps to feel cosier. This is defiantly not a tent for those who travel light but if you want a tent for 2 without compromising on comfort this would be hard to beat.

Having now erected this tent 4 times (1 overnight, 2 weekends & 1 week), I'm beginning to get the knack of getting it up quickly single-handed. (Lay footprint out & peg down. Peg groundsheet rear corners, get all poles in place, keeping at least 1 peg in your hand while pulling both front guys together to raise the tent, & peg down to hold tent up while fixing remaining corners. Secure all poles, groundsheet pegs & guys . . . Job done :-) in about 30 minutes.)

This is great comfortable 1 or 2-man tent, especially with a dog who likes raiding the food supplies!. Bedroom holds double mattress, loo, & all food boxes secure from dog's attentions, & front area keeps dog secure from wandering, whether I'm there or not.

Lovely, light airy & very strong. Bit heavy, but not a real problem when travelling by car. The only downside is the previously mentioned lack of adequate ventilation, which means it can get a bit sweaty. But for my needs - a strong tent, easy to erect, with full standing height to avoid back problems, & good security for the dog, it's the best I've found so far.

I recently bought this tent for weekend getaways ( I also have an Outwell Monterey 5 ) . Its built to usual Outwell standards and didn't let in any rain on a long wet weekend in the lakes . The two of us found the bedroom 'cosy' using two single airbeds to fit 3 people would be a squeeze unless using basic mats to sleep on. You have to sleep sideways in the tent if you could have slept longways it would give you far more space but the tent would only have to be around 8 inches longer to accommodate this this is the only bad point stopping me rating it 10/10.I really like the full length windows including one in the door these give a light airy impression making the tent living area feel bigger than it actually is If you are looking for a weekend tent with full standing height and bombproof you could do far worse .

Used our new Birdland 3 this weekend and we are very pleased with the easy erection and packing of the tent. I did not have any problems in strong blustery winds putting it up or taking it down seems very well made and airy. I will get the extension now I have read the comments about the door. We have a pair of wychwood fishing beds and found these just squeezed in with the the bedroom bulging a bit, but what a comfortable night we had!

This is a great tent for 2 people - plenty of headroom and if it's pouring with rain (Or you're being attached by a hoard of midges!)it's good to be able to 'open' all of the windows and be able to see outside, it makes the tent feel light and airy. There are lots of useful pockets inside and the triple door option is very good - there is fully closed, clear window or midge net so good for all occasions. We bought this tent after our previous one was completely destroyed by the Scottish weather so wanted a nice strong one to cope with the wind - the main large metal pole support is excellent, the tent feels really secure and rigid. Our tent came with an external additional groundsheet/footprint which I highly recommended - it means the bottom of the tent isn't muddy when taking down so the tent stays a lot cleaner. The only problems we do have with the tent are getting in and out when it's raining. As some other people have said, the rain can get in when the door is open. We had a porch in our previous tent so do miss that element as you need to keep wet boots and things inside the tent. Also, the tent can be quite heavy when wet and we bent one of the fiberglass poles when pitching in not so nice weather. Lastly, because it's edges are sewn in and the bedroom is internal, it can act like a big balloon when taking down, you have to try it a few times to get the knack of getting all the air out. On the whole though I love it - Outwell tents seem to be very well made, we chose this one and the Camping show and it was the best quality one we show.

I have used this tent once this year and found it easy to put up single handed only took about 35 minutes. There is plenty of space and a good headroom. The only small comment I would make is that the front door slopes so that the rain can fall in the tent when you are entering or leaving. But all in all a very good buy. I am looking forward to using it more this coming year.

Just purchased the Birdland for weekend use as our Outwell Ohio takes too long to put up.We pitched in 10 mins. Excellent tent for 2 people .Our king size bed fitted perfectly in the bedroom.Only niggle would be the cable inlet which is too near the entrance ,should be to one side, otherwise a perfect little tent.Heard from a supplier that an extension is available next year which would make a good cooking area .Can't wait to go camping again!

This thing is so waterproof we've had the living area float! This last trip it has seen it's first strong winds, and I can say it is as if my Montana 6 shrunk in the wash, because it was just as sturdy. Goes up in 15 mins or under with 2 adults, the huge windows make it feel bigger than it is once you're set up. The one and only thing I would change would be to add another door to the side to create air flow and dry it out more quickly, because it's so quick and easy it's not impracticable as a touring tent. I agree with the previous reviewer, 10 more cm on the bedroom and you would be able to rotate a double mattress, that said there is still room to stand and dress with the mattress in place. A well designed little tent over all.

We have now used the Outwel Birdland for several weekends and also for a stay of 5 nights. It takes around 30 minutes to erect the tent although we have not done this in adverse weather conditions. We like the tent and it seems a good size for 2 people. We have used it in the rain and it did not let in however it does not seem possible to tension the main roof in such a way as no puddles form. Whilst the pooling of water is small it is a concern that they are there and does delay the drying of the tent. It has not yet been tested in high winds. On the whole we are pleased with the tent and think it is most appropriate for us.

A really great tent for 2 people. There's good space for a double lilo. 2 bags and still a little standing room in the bedroom. At 6'1' I could just stand up in the bedroom and the living area has a lot more height. It was easy to erect and can be done by one person on a calm day. Quality was up to Outwell's usual standards and there's lots of good features on the tent with cable entries and lots of possible combinations for opening the door or vents. Have only used it for a weekend but could comfortably manage a week in it or a fortnight at a pinch. The half drop curtains are a nice feature. One does feel slightly exposed when the door is rolled up as all the living area feels open to the rest of the campsite. It missed out on 10/10 because of the bedroom dimensions. If the width of the bedroom had been 1.9m or 2.0m then one can place the lilo in ANY direction. As it is, you can only turn it through 180 degrees. Still a very comfortable, quality tent.
