4 Reviews of the Airbeam Eternity 400

I wanted to do an update as we have now used this tent several times since my original review. We used this tent this weekend when it was extremely windy to the point where several awnings had collapsed in the wind. This tent however coped amazingly well, was very sturdy and didn't budge. We have also had very heavy rain and had no leaks at all. I am more and more impressed with this tent every time we use it.

I've been camping for the past 2 years, with my 5 yr old son and as a single mum, thought the idea of this tent seemed great. My local stockists, Raglan camping and kite centre were fab! They let me um and ahh over several weeks and even let me have a go at pitching one prior to purchase. I finally bought it in May and haven't stopped using it! So far we've had 4 weeks away and several weekends, with a mix of weather from scorching hot to amber gale force warnings. The eternity's performance has been faultless really. During the second week of use we did experience a slight leak to the side of one of the inner tubes but this appeared to be a one off and hasn't occurred again. So easy to put up, no whinging from my son that he's bored and lots of admiring glances from fellow campers!
Pricewise, yes it was expensive but an absolute must for single parents who want to maximise enjoyment and minimise stress!

I like Nicdak have also just purchased this tent and have used it on two recent weekend breaks away. On both occasions the weather was warm, dry and sunny with little or no wind and in these conditions the tent was just great. Quick and easy to erect and even quicker and easier to take down and pack away into its 'roller' bag. This tent is large with plenty of space for some furniture. Instructions on how much air to put into these type of tents seems to vary from website to website, tent to tent and from year to year. I went up to about 2.8 PSI during the day, when the sun was on the tent and increased the pressure to just over 3 at night. This worked well for me, however, in wet or windy conditions I would use more. This was the advice that I received from the shop where I purchased the tent and they told me that their display tent had been erected outside for the past three months without ever encountering any problems. Expensive tent but a great concept which is worth every penny if you want a stress free weekend away, let's hope that it performs as well in less favourable conditions.

Just purchased this tent and taken away for the first time this weekend. I already own a small airbeam (velocity) so familiar with and love the airbeam and so wanted a larger one for main holidays. Very good size without being too big for two people and a dog. Again very easy to put up and take down. It was quite windy this weekend and the tent felt very sturdy - the new instructions say pump to 7psi but I only pumped to about 5-6 but beams were very firm and didn't shift at all. Can't comment on the rain element yet as only had a very very light shower (only few spots of rain) while we were away and so tent dried very quickly. Overall very happy.
