Just come back from camping in Anglesey in this tent. One night there was very heavy rain and near gale force winds raging but this tent came through with flying colours. Other (more expensive) tents on the site were damaged or leaked but the Arapaho survived to fight another day. I am very pleased with this tent and would recommend it.

This tent is ideal for a family with lots of living space. The bedrooms are ample, the dome height is good. We have had an odd leak in the worst weather, at the peak of the dome where the poles cross. This is a minor issue and given the weather we have been out in, is more than acceptable (upper lake district & Angelsey were both very exposed and blessed us with gales, torrential rain & thunder & lightening). To improve this tent, a porch extension would be ideal, especially for rainy days, wet children and boots. Argos were offering Lichfield porch's but seem to have discontinued them. Overall, a highly recommended tent which is very quick & easy to pitch and pack.

Really good tent for the money (I picked one up for £100 brand new on ebay). Easy to pitch, fly first with coloured coded poles. Plenty of room and good head height. Tent fits back into the bag easily after use. Good family tent for a short break and I am very happy with it.

After much searching of the internet and camping shows we decided to plump for th Arapaho 6DLX. What a great decision we made. Whilst the pitching instructions aren't great a trial run in the back garden ensured ease of pitching on site. Now I am 6'5' and my wife 5'2' so this influenced us getting a tent we both could pitch and this tent allows that.
I can stand in the living area and slightly in the bedrooms. When I lie down in the bedroom there is more than enough space. I do not touch either wall. The children (6 and 10) love staying in the other as they get so much space to themselves.
We have really enjoyed the porch area too. Not too large to be a tunnel but just right to sit and remain dry on those wet days! Only gripe is the door when the children open it dripping inside but that is us I suppose not the tent.
Would I recommend this yes I would - ease of pitching, great size and height, relatively small package when packed away.

After 15 years of owning a family frame tent and being fed up with the lack of space compared to the tunnel and dome tents we decided to look for a new tent. Having read the advantages and disadvantages of tunnel tents compared with dome tents and viceversa we went for a tent that had the best (or worse) of both worlds, a tent that had a dome living area and tunnel bedrooms. The Lichfield Arapaho 6 DLX was chosen not only for this reason but also the fact that the outer tent is assembled first, then the bedrooms (some tents we looked at the bedrooms were assembled first, not a good idea if its pouring down !).
Weve used the tent for 3 years without any problems, the space inside is vast for our needs (2 adults & 2 children) and it has taken Lakeland gales and torential rain in its stride. Only complaint is that the tent pegs that come with the tent are laughable and any thing more than a sneeze would see the tent in the next field, so if you choose this tent invest in some better pegs.

We bought this tent last year when the weather was glorious in the April but as we all know that did not last !
We were really unsure of which tent to buy it looks as if not many people leave reviews on Lichfield tents, so Ive decided to write this one.
We bought ours for £114 which I thought was a fab price, from outdoor world.
The tent is easy to pitch coloured poles into the coloured slots easy peasy ! The instructions are not very good if you are a first time camper, but if you have a trial run then you think haaaaaaa !
The bedroom pods can be attatched after your main frame is up so nothing gets wet, thats easy too.
There are 2 door openings for when the weather is nice.
The height of the tent is fab for tall people no need to stoop you can stand up fully and the living area has lots of room ( incase it rains and you are stuck in with the children ). Our son played inside and there was loads of room for all 3 of us.
The bedroom can fit 2 adults a double airbed and a large travel cot with a 2 year old in it. The other bedroom we actually used for storage but is the same size as the other.
The porch on the front of the tent is a nice feature and has little windows you can sit there and read a book without getting wet. Or store shoes, etc.
The best thing about this tent is it was fully british weather proof, we went camping last year in terential rain and winds and it never leaked and never budged through the night.
Only one thing I was not keen on and we did not use was the porch door ! As you can see in the picture it just rests on 2 rods and your guide rope, I was a little unsure of this with a toddler running around so we just rolled it up or zipped it down which was easy and suited our needs.
Overall this is a lovely family tent and would reccomend it, it is very spacious and easy to pitch ! The only reason why I did not give it a 10/10 is that it is our first tent and have nothing to compare with.

Manufacturer's Description
A 6 berth tunnel-dome with large porch area plus canopy door. Ideal for family camping in the lowlands or at a conventional campsite. This tent features two conventional bedroom compartments each sleeping 3 people (ideal if bringing babysitter) with a living space in between. The large front porch adds even more living space but the tent still comes in at a very affordable price considering its size. Other features include a draught excluder around the outside of the porch, a riser groundsheet for the living area, two side windows in the living space, single entrance door and colour coded poles and sleeves.
The external poles means this tent is pitched flysheet first which will allow you to keep the inners dry while you pitch in damp conditions. The flysheet itself is Protex durable polyester with taped seams giving a hydrostatic head performance of 2000mm - ample waterproofness for 2 season activity. The inner tent is breathable polyester and the groundsheets are polyethylene. The pole construction is fibreglass (with steel uprights for king poles). Comes complete with carry bag and repair kit.
