I bought this for me and my partner to use at Glastonbury festival last year. We set it up prior to going down and found it very confusing to put up. When we reached Glastonbury it took an hour to get the tent up. This tent is completely reliant on the guy ropes; if they aren't put in the right place then the outer skin touches the inner and the tent WILL become wet. Due to our guy ropes getting pulled out often our porch leaked (soaking anything in it) and on the last night I woke up and half the sleeping area was soaked (including my mat and sleeping bag!) I wouldn't recommend this tent for trips unless you can guarantee that the guy ropes won't come out.

On a positive note, when the weather is dry. This is a brilliant sized tent especially for two people. I loved being able to store all our bags in the porch and have all the sleeping area to sleep in. It also made a great cosy space for chilling out in last thing at night or first thing in the morning.

Overall I was quite disappointed in this tent.

A sturdy, reliable 3-man tent. Easy to erect - 20/25 mins. Enough room inside for me and my 3 kids (ages 9,7 & 5) to squash in together (use roll mats not airbeds to fit that many in!)

Porch is a good size BUT there is a sizeable distance between the bottom hem of the porch fabric and the groundsheet. This leaves a fair bit of space for the wind to blow through, making the porch itself quite cold at night or in windy weather.

This is well made, very stable tent and I would recommend it.

Just bought this tent to replace an old vango Tahoe dome. The Beta 350 has a good sized porch with just enough headroom to sit on camping chair but I'm 5'8' so a six footer would find it more difficult. Plenty of storage space in the porch. Inner tent will easily fit 2 with loads of space for bags. Pleased with the quality of finish & like the Excalibur/black (grey/black) colour in makes the inner nice & dark.Waterproof & taped seams all good. Easy to pitch. A good tent for the price.

We bought this tent in the 2008 sales we paid £50.

We pitched this in 30mph+ winds, and despite the tents best efforts to realise its dream of being a kite it only took 35 minutes to erect (20 minutes in calm condition).

My only 2 'negatives' (but not unique to this tent) the living space is a bit on the small side and the height head is quite low. Secondly due to the ground sheet not being sewn into the porch/living area there was a constant draught and allowed the local insect life in.

But saying that we never suffered from condensation, and the rain never came in.

It was comfortable enough for a short break, but we have purchased a bigger tent for extended breaks away.

We will continue to use this tent and would definitely recommend to any couple (would be a bit squashed for 3 adults) for a starter tent on a short break. Its easy to pitch and easy to pack and can withstand bad weather, BUT get some spare pegs as the ones that come with it bend easily.

Bought this tent in June 2009 camped in it and we had very heavy rain and it was great. Only problem is could get a little just enough room for three to sit, very easy to put up and down. I would recommend this for couple for camping in, split in two with sleeping area and living area and has two doors one with net to allow air in if you want door open. Ground sheet slightly small than the tent but that worked great when we had rain did not come in tent. Says erect in twenty mins I would say it take less time than that good tent will recommend to friends

Brilliant. Had very heavy rain for 2 days solid whilst in new forest, and not one leak. Had a river underneath our ground sheet in bedroom and in lounge area but did not break through. Slept 2, personally would not put 3 in it.

The ground sheet in lounge area was slightly smaller than the tent which was good as when it rained it didn't get overly wet.

Pitches pretty well, even better to get down, even the toad under the ground sheet in the bedroom thought so!

The lounge area was a good size but could have been a bit taller as my fiance is 6 ft 2!

A majority of campers had the vango beta in new forest, and all said it was easy to put up.

A great tent.

I bought this tent after extensive research for my first camping trip and I wasn't disappointed.

Pitching is straight forward. I wasn't after a record breaking time, but it was logical and easy to put up. I would always recommend you try it at home first though. The tent pegs are a bit weak and do bend, but don't let that put you off this tent. Pegs are easy to replace.

We had some wet and windy weather and there were no problems with water getting in, and the tent was stable in the wind.

The porch is very useful and one of the reasons I bought this tent. There is loads of place to store things, and despite all my junk three people had enough space to sit in the porch to play cards (albeit sitting on the ground sheet). You could get a couple of chairs (maybe 3 or 4 small chairs) in if you need to, but best to roll up the groundsheet, not because the GS is poor quality, but you don't want to push your luck.

Build quality is very good and it feels well put together, with the exception of the bottom left corner of the inner sheet door which seems to be under a alot of strain. Possibly a slight manufacturing fault. I just unclipped some of the inner sheet connections and used a bit of string to extend the connection to reduce the strain.

I dried the tent out at home and then managed to fit it back in its bag which was handy. I chose this tent over the Beta 250 for the extra space. Whilst you can't stand up in it completely, its far easier to move around in than the 250. I stayed in the tent by myself on a double airbed - camping luxury. Two people would be ok in this tent, but three would be tight in the sleeping area. You won't be able to fit a double and a single airbed into the sleeping area, either one double or two singles.

The bathtub GS in the sleeping area, but not in the porch is a good solution. You can roll up the porch GS if necessary.

All in all very happy. Also got a good price and service from Allweathers. You can get cheaper 3 man tents, but you do get your money's worth with this one.

This is an excellent tent, sturdy and well made. I have used it in varying weather conditions and it has come through with flying colours. It rained stair-rods in a howling gale one night in Devon last year and had no leaks at all. Great for one person, ok for two but three adults would be pushing it.

Pitches very easily, pitched it by myself (i.E. One person) despite the (ahem) 'help' of my 5 y.O.

It is clearly a scaled down version of Vango's large tunnel tents (I own an Yukon 800), and benefits from the twin opposite doors in the living area, one of which allows a 'mesh' closure if required. A bit of rain on our first weekend meant that we tested it for both waterproofing and living space and it passed both tests admirably.

A little more expensive than some tents in this category (Asda are currently knocking out one for £25! I picked mine up on a sale at £50), but you get what you pay for such as small design features like the velcro loops to store the guy lines, the ring system on the guys (very effective), windows and Vango's guarantee. The way the living area groundsheet is sewn to the bedroom (sewn in groundsheet) is also an ideal solution.

One criticism (which probably applies to all manufacturer's tents) is that although the tent claims '3 man' and was nice and roomy for a 6'3' 37 year old and his 5 year old son, I wouldn't want to share with two other adults unless I was very intimate with them!

Consider it a 2 berth and you wont be disappointed.

Only gave it 8 out of 10 because I have not had this tent in a storm or rain yet. Used it 3 times and carries well on me motorbike, and has well enough room for 2 and all the bike gear. Up to now rate its quality and build much better than the Kyham its replaced.
