Got one in June 2010 and used it twice last year. What a great tent ,the size is very impressive, sleeps two adults and three kids with ease. Looks fantastic and the carpet is brilliant it makes the tent very cosy indeed. The living area is massive in comparison to other tents in its class, so there is plenty of room for wardrobe, table and kitchen etc. There is lots of windows and mesh screens to keep it light airy and bug free. Yes there is a downside but it is only a slight niggle about it not having a porch to keep the inner tent dry. But I have recently found out that HI-GEAR are indeed putting one on the market in the spring , so I will be one the doorstep of the camping shop as soon they arrive. So all in all I would recommend this tent for a family of 4 to 6 . Get one you wont be disappointed!

hi there to all your Voyager 6 owners wanting a porch for this tent. Just to let you know I emailed the makers hi gear to ask whether they would be making a porch for Voyager 6 or if they knew of any porch that would fit it .

They have informed me that there will be one on sale mid march.

Looking forward to getting one as it will be a great asset to this tent

This tent was so simple to put up. I put it up in 20 minutes. There are 4 of us and we found the living area very spacious and having the dome gave added head room. There are little compartments that you can use for things that you are using a lot for easy access like keys, phone, book etc. The fitted ground sheet is something I would def recommend for that extra comfort. We bought the carpet that goes with the Voyager which made it feel warmer. LOVE IT XX

Bought this at £200 (damn. Seen some of you guys got it at £99! but it should have been £300 so we are OK with this. Great for putting up quick, easy for simpleton like myself with 5 yr old running round and demanding 'can I help?' every 10 seconds!

Very light and airy, has protected us well from a complete downpour. Only real problem we have is that it lets in water when trying to get out of the door, could do with a canopy. However, I have found out that the Vango orchy 600 is exactly the same.

Through this tent I have really fallen for camping, as a canvas virgin I thought you would never get me out of a hotel room with modern comforts, however I find myself planning as many excursions and trips on UKcampsite to use this beauty!

Have just tried this out in my back garden to see if the kids and I like camping. The kids loved it and so did i.Can't wait to get out and use it properly. Simple to put up even for me a complete novice. Only quibble is the amount of water that comes in when you try to get in or out after a rain shower as mentioned by other reviewers. If it had a porch area to solve the problem I'd of given it 10/10.

Fab tent. We've used our twice already and love it. There are two adults and one two year old and its great. Even on a rainy day, there is plenty of room for us all in the living area. Its really easy to pitch and my husband and I only argues once the whole time we put it up and took it down and that was just because I was folding the fly sheet the wrong way! Only problems I found were firstly, when door is left slightly unzipped when there is water on the door, the water pours into the tent and also there is no way to keep the carpet in place so it can move about a bit. Other than that, we love it and plan to use it a lot more. We bought ours for £299 and still feel we got good value for money

Bought this tent when it was on offer in Go Outdoors for under £100. We are a family of 6 and knew when we purchased it that it would be unlikely that we would all fit in the bed area (they never take into account airbeds when they are rating occupancy!) but my partner and I were more than happy to sleep in the main area. Even with our oversized double air bed in the main area there was still room to move around (we did deflate it each morning and put it in the bed area) It is a fantastic tent and money well spent, the pitch time is great and it is really easy. The only downside that I could come up with (and I had to try really hard) is that both of the outer doors have separate zips for the flysheet and outer, it would be so much easier if they were as one and could then be separated out (like the bedroom 'doors'). We did have to keep a towel on the floor by the door as when you open it the outer door comes in and drips water on the tent floor. Can't wait to use it again. All we need now is a canopy!

Husband and I bought the Voyager 6 when it was £99 deal in Go Outdoors.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults, toddler and a baby) so at first a 6 sleeper seemed to be too big but one we saw it on display in the shop we fell in love.

The living space is fantastic, great for little ones to play in and still with plenty of room for us to sit on 2 full size camping chairs with folding camping table and other bits in there with us (food boxes etc).

I am not entirely convinced that the bedroom would sleep six, we had 3 single airbeds, a pram top and lots of storage down one side, Perfect, but no way 6 airbeds could fit! 4 would fit fine but no extra space.

Flyscreens on doors worked really well and came in very handy (campsite midge infested lol).

Plenty of light through windows, which was nice because of midges I spent time inside with baby to keep him bite free.

Colour coded rods were very helpful when putting up tent. Husband said (as mentioned earlier) only took about 15 mins to erect (just tent, not guy ropes or inside sorted) with 2 people.

The lack of canopy (as mentioned before) is the only thing that marks it down. Go Outdoors did say that HiGear were in the process of thinking about one but I wont hold my breath just in case.

Would recommend this tent to anyone with a small family or just a couple with a pet. If you want a normal sized tent but with a huge living area look no further! SPOT ON!

I purchased this tent around 6 weeks ago, after seeing it out on Display in GoOutdoors at Coatbridge. I have kept off sending in a review until I have used the tent.

I have just used this tent last week for 5 nights in Dunfries area, with my wife and 2 kids. I have to say this tent is massively superior to my old tent. Having a huge living area, loads of windows and a sewn in groundsheet. We purchased the protective groundsheet, but are still pondering the carpet, as the runkling would annoy us, and seems hard to clean. We used a picnic blanket which we already owned as a trial, as it seems to be of a similar construction to the carpet, but are still undecided.

Anyway there were 3 issues we had with the tent itself on our excursion, and these were:

1) The vent at the back of the tent feeds straight into the bedrooms, as the main bedroom vent is directly opposite it, which means the bedroom area ends up freezing at night. I could close the vent on the outside of the tent, but was worried about condensation due to the SIG. I think I will modify the bedroom to compensate for future.

2) This tent did eventually start to let in water. To be fair though it was after 3 days of fairly consistent rain, and a thunderstorm, but as the tent was so large you could avoid the drips. (My old Gelert Tolima would have let in during the 1st night!)

3) I would like to see a canopy or porch for this tent, as you get significant water ingress when entering or leaving the tent when it has just rained or is still raining.

On another note the tent can get very warm during the Day especially in warmer temperatures, but as both doors have the Mesh flysheet it can be made very airy, without letting in loads of insects.

Other than that the tent is very good, and is a good purchase even although I got mine prior to the £99 bargain weekend, which left me quite gutted.

Brilliant tent and great value for money, it took me 20 minutes to put up and 20 mins to take down, with stood heavy wind and rain and all for £100 BARGAIN.

Massive Living area with loads of room to stand up.

Built in ground sheet which meAnt no water running under the tent, 2 large bedrooms which easily fits a family of 4 in there.

Overall I would recommend to everybody.

It also looks the part when erected.
