I have owned the 2010 and then the 2011 models of the Mojave and totally love this tent with the large living area and the 2 separate bedrooms it provides plenty of room for a family camping trip to a couple get away . Improvements for 2011 are the windows with curtains, which provide a outside view when cold or raining and the fully zipped front door which prevents draughts when windy outside. I have just purchased the porch which includes the groundsheet for this tent too and it adds loads of extra space to leave dirty shoes or to keep the kitchen equipment.

This is the perfect starter tent and will last a good few years.Even without the improvements this tent is well worth the price. The tent is that easy to put up, I have managed to put it up on my own within 30 minutes but takes far less with 2 people. It holds up in wet weather too . After camping last year during a severe wet weather warning and the campsite creating extra drainage holes in the ground to accommodate the adverse wet weather. To my relief the inside of the tent remained dry.Hence the upgrade to have windows the ground sheet refused to let the water through that had collected under the tent. Thank you hi gear!

We missed buying this from Go Outdoors at the bargain price of £130 (annoying!) but decided it was worth more than that and ended up paying £175. It is a big 5 berth and there is only the two of us! However we do not travel light! We use the bigger half as the bedroom and leave the other pod out and use that area for storage. The living room is huge! The tent was easy to put up with just the two of us- follow the instructions and you can't go wrong! Also putting it away was easier than we thought and it fits back in the bag! Perfect

Had the previous version of the Mojave 5 for a few years and was happy to get another when they bought this years one out with windows.

Although there are only two of us I like to have room to move about and this has been ideal for us.

It has stood up in gale force winds and torrential rain but the only problem we had initially was that there was not a pegging point under the main door so the wind tried very hard to get underneath. We've rectified this by using clingons. The toggles for the bedrooms aren't the best but are so far holding on.

All in all a good buy for the money.

We purchased this while on offer at £129 and what a bargain we got.

Have used it 3 times so far the last in bad rain and we discovered it was leaking on a few seams but go outdoors changed it no problems.

We where going to buy the Vango Icarus but decided to purchase this one as it looked bigger.

Very easy to put up even in the wind and rain.

We have notice that compared to the older model this now has windows and a front opening which lets in a lot of light.

Just purchased the porch on offer at £70 so looking forward to having more room and not having to move the kitchen in and out to cook.

The only down side I would say is I wished the bedroom was as one with a zip between, so the children can see you and you can reassure them with out getting out unzipping everything etc etc!

Great family tent and glad we choose this model. Hopefully lots more weekends away to be had, and hopefully the sun will come out for us!

We bought this because it looked easy to erect and IT WAS! Just 3 poles to put together and the guy ropes were a doddle. We tried this in very wind and wet conditions and it proved to be very secure and dry.

Loads of room and you can even stand and walk around which was a great bonus. The mesh doors were a great help keeping flies out but let the air through for cooling and ventilation. Using the 2 poles to create a front or side canopy was also very useful and created a handy shade from the sun. Look forward to adding the extension and carpet for added room and luxury.

We got ours from Go-Outdoors when only £129.99 and we cant fault tent.We also have footprint and carpet which make it lovely and cosey as there are only the two of us.There is lots of space as we use 2nd bedroom as our storage area.We found it so easy to put up as it is our first tent.We have used it in all different weathers and to this day have had no problems what so ever.Looking forward to next trying the porch when we get it.We would recommend this tent to anyone as very good value for money.

Great tent, easy to erect and has loads of space. Used all of last year and this year as well never had a leak yet. Did snap a pole on a windy day on the North York moors but was quickly replaced by the shop. Only issue is the lack of windows in this years model but noticed the 2011 version has windows which is a great addition. Would recommend it to anyone as it is great family tent and great value for money.

Purchased this tent in August 2010. It is my first ever tent and I didn't want to spend excessively in case camping didn't turn out to be my thing. Have had a few trips away with it and have loved every second. It's turned out to be a fantastic starter tent - easy to put up and take down, and comes in a bag large enough to make packing away very easy, no leaking, handy electric cable access points on both sides of the tent, great ventilation, very spacious (accommodates 2 adults and 2 children very comfortably), sturdy and stable in the moderate winds experienced.

Downsides to the tent are that it doesn't zip all the way around at the front door, but at the bottom is held up with toggles. Haven't had a problem with draught, but it will of course allow an access point for insects. Have put velcro along this area, but have found it fiddly if honest and a zip would've been much better. I see this issue has been addressed in the 2011 model though. An insect screen would've been useful for the front door (as there is on the sides). Windows would be nice (again addressed in the 2011 model), but in all honesty that hasn't bothered me. Personal preference I suppose :) Rain/early morning condensation very easily drips from the outside to the inside of the tent via the side doors, due to the way that they fall inwards.

I have just purchased the long awaited porch for this tent, and I am sure it will enhance it wonderfully. We also have the carpet and footprint, which I feel really add to the comfort and cosiness of the tent.

Hoping to upgrade if the pennies allow over the next couple of years, but this has been a really fantastic starter tent and I haven't regretted purchasing it for a second.

Very good tent for the casual camper.

Easy to erect and has stood up to wet and windy conditions very well.

Loads of room inside for storage and dining.

We paid less than £100 for this tent , which has proved to be a real bargain.

My wife was against the idea of camping to begin with, but now loves to get away for the weekends in this well designed and comfortable tent.

Am looking to get the porch attachment to save dragging cooking equipment in and out of tent when going out.

Excellent value for money!

I bought the Mojave 5 tent when it dropped in price to £129.99 from Go Outdoors. I had originally bought the Vango Icarus 500,carpet and footprint which is a 5 man tent 2011 moss green model. The build quality on the Vango was not as good as the Mojave 5. The Icarus was a nice tent for the two of us and we liked it till it let in rain on a seam just outside the bedroom, maybe a cup full of water dripped on the carpet so we returned it.

Go Outdoors said they would replace it which was good but I asked if I could look at the other tents, this is when we saw the Mojave 5. The space in the living area was bigger and the double bedroom also and the second bedroom was about the size of the Icarus one. Lots more space to sit in and have friends visit us.We bought this tent, carpet and footprint.

I had a trial run with the tents on a friends garden, just to check we had got everything we needed, I would say that this is a must , everything was good.

We spent two nights in our Mojave 5 at Woodland Waters and loved it the only downside or modification is what someone else mentioned was under the front door theres a skirt and wind could blow under the ground sheet or rain may get under, as mentioned velcro could sort this. The 2011 model has good windows unlike previous models and I liked the fact it has two side doors and a front door to use depending on which way the wind blows.

We really like the Mojave 5 and just because theres only two of us and we have plenty of space I don't think we will need the enclosed extension but you never know. Only rated it as an 8 due to it didnt rain so I cant say it wont leak.

Manufacturer's Description

Easy to erect, easy to dismantle, and offering generous living space, the Mojave 5 is a great choice for families wanting comfortable, fuss-free camping, or couples wanting extra space for storage and fun.

It pitches outer first, with separate 3 and 2 person rooms that clip in to the underside.

With taped seams, a sewn-in groundsheet and completely waterproof outer layer (3000HH), you can be sure of total protection from rain and draughts.

The poles are angled to give you maximum headroom throughout the tent, so no need to stoop when you're inside. The pole sleeves have slick inners to make pitching the tent quick and easy.

In warmer weather, the breathable inner and 2 side doors with full mesh panels give you superb ventilation and allow plenty of light into the tent. The large front door can be extended out as a canopy, using the steel porch poles, offering shelter from sunshine or rain.

It has bright and reflective pre-attached guylines to keep it stable and secure, and more visible in the dark. There's also a electrical cable access point allowing you to use appliances inside the tent with the minimum of fuss.

A practical and versatile option for families, group campers or anyone who needs comfort and breathing room when out in the wild.
