I don't have much to add to the previous reviews.
The Mackenzie 6 is a good sized family tunnel tent, with a big living area and lots of light from the 4 big windows. The bedrooms are all just big enough for a double airbed. It is however, lacking in internal storage pockets/hanging points and the door weather flaps do get caught in the zips as mentioned before (pull both sides of zip together as you zip up to avoid this).
It stood up well to quite windy weather. We found that there was a slight leak on the top of the door zips in quite heavy rain. This was stopped by taking out the window canopy poles, so the rain drips straight off the roof.
When the 3rd bedroom is in place, there is just enough room to get in and out of the front door. We did find that using this door let a bit of water in during rainy weather, due to the slope of the front of the tent.
When pitching for the first time, it's good to know that the poles have different ends, so make sure you thread the flat end in first.The far side of the sleeve has a dead end!
When pitching the canopy/porch, zip to the main tent before threading the poles through. The metal poles are for the front sleeve.

Fantastic tent, just come back from 3 nights in the worst rain storms ever and it was fab. The only one tiny fault with it, is that the two small porch bits that overhang the doors are little collection zones for pooled water and if they fill up it leaks through vent zips at top of the door (although over 3 days probably 2 tablespoons in total, so not a great problem). Layout works really well and very pleased, would def recommend. 20 mins to put up and very easy, we are always first with our tent up!

I'm not an expert in tents, however I took this tent to france with the wife and 2 young kids so this review is based solely on the one trip.
One person could pitch this tent at a struggle but due to the size you would be advised to use some help mainly to hold the arches until the main guy ropes are pegged. It took about 40 mins to get the structure and bedrooms up and pegged out (I had tested in the garden first at a leisurely pace so had a good idea 2nd time round). It has a sewn in ground sheet (SIG). The poles are are all colour coordinated and elastic linked fibreglass so they are quick and easy to assemble. The instructions could be better but are adequate and sewn into the holdhall so you can't lose them. The only metal poles support the front canopy should you wish to attach it (which we did) and the front door (see manufacturers picture). The holdhall is very durable and I easily managed to pack the tent up twice and get it comfortably into the bag. At 27kg and everything contained in holdhall, it was easy to transport in a larger car and the holdhall straps can be tightened once the tent is inside. The pegs are standard and so I bolstered them with 10 delta pegs.
I put both bedroom units up at first (1 x 4 berth with internal partioning zip wall, and 1 x 2 berth). The following day I removed the small unit which fits into the front door end of the tent which created a very large living area.
The X6 is very flexible in terms of how you want to use it. The only way to find out how it is best for you is to live in it for a week or so. In addition to removing the smaller unit we unzipped the internal wall of the larger unit and place in it two double airbeds so the whole family slept in the one big room which worked well for us.
During our stay we had very heavy rain the first night and I worried about the seams. I needn't have. The X6 held the water out. However I found a weak point at the front door bottom corner which was rectified the following day when I repegged it and made the base of the tent taught. There are rain flaps on all the door zippers. Great for keeping the water out but can get caught in the zip when unzipping and zipping occasionally. The two side doors got used the most and are situated down one side of the tent so when pitching you need to think about access to that side. There is a protective arch above them which I found gathered a pool of water following rain. They held the rain out but be careful not to open the zippable air vents above the door otherwise you might find the water in your tent! Also ensuring that the tent guy ropes are taught helps the water run off.
Can't say much about how hot it gets 'cos we didn't see the hot weather unfortunately, however there are mesh air vents at the front and zippable ones above the two side doors and a large zip up at the rear where the larger sleeping unit is. All the doors have a mesh door as well so you can keep the air flowing into the tent but keep the bugs out. The large optional canopy which comes with it was great and seemed huge but stood up to the wind and rain. The interior sleeping unit were a godsend for keeping the mosquitos at bay at night providing they are kept zipped up when not in use.
One person can easily pack the tent away and it took about 45 minutes to do.
In summary I was very pleased with the X6, I had a few compliments on it, mainly the amount of space when the smaller bedroom unit is removed and its good looks!
The best bits for me are the side windows/doors and front window/door. I could cover the windows and maintain privacy at night but vary the the view out of the tent as I pleased. When all the windows are exposed the tent seemed bright and airy. There were 4 adults and 4 small kids in the living area with table and chairs and bags of stuff but it didn't feel claustrophobic at all. You certainly get a lot of flexibility with how you live in the X6.
The cons. The rain protectors on the zips kept getting caught however once you get the knack of opening and closing it doesn't seem to be a huge issue. Shop around as there are some great deals on this tent. I picked mine up for £225 which seemed like an absolute bargain. Sorry no pics as the camera battery died and we forgot the charger!.Dooh!
