We have just had our first weekend away in this tent, we bought it because we wanted something a bit smaller than our last tent but had similar height.

It is as easy to put up as other reviews have said.

Very spacious for the 2 of us. We kept the partition in the rear pod up, slept in one side and kept the gear in the other.

We had friends with us in a smaller tent so our living area became the main congregation area for all. It fitted four of us (along with table and chairs) very easily. We were hit by heavy rain and strong winds, it stood up very well and barely moved. If you are careful and put the tent up correctly no water will get in although it cant be helped when the doors are rolled back up after a shower.

We are very impressed with this tent and after 3 attemts to find the right one think we have found it.

Our friends were so pleased with it that they too have been and bought one.

We have just got back from a weekend away in this tent so easy to put up takes about 20 mins. Got to agree with the the faults in other reviews - front door has no pole fixings so cannot be used as canopy. But I must say once you put the tent up it stays up. The weather threw everything at it one night, stayed bone dry and never even moved. It took 3 attempts to find the right tent for us, but I can honestly say we have found it in this tent

This is a great tent, it is just 2 of us and a dog. We used it for the 1st time this weekend and loved the space. It is so easy to put up. The bedroom has plenty of storage pockets and there is plenty of room for 2, we are both tall and we had loads of space. Highly recommend it and cant wait for our next camping trip

We recently purchased this tent to use for short weekend breaks for the two of us,the main reasons being ease of pitching compared to our Darwin 5,large living and sleeping area, the latter being a darker colour for those unbearably bright summer mornings and light weight compared to the Darwin. After our first trip away last weekend,we found that the good points were all of the above. The bad points were as follows

* The main front door zips run parallel down each side and then just lay over the 'bathtub' edge of the groundsheet-this allows any slight breeze to lift the bottom of the door with obvious dire results if it's raining!

*Main front door again. The Vango website says that the door can be used as a sun canopy using king poles(not supplied)but neither our tent or any that we've seen on display has the brass eyelets at the bottom of the door needed to fit the poles. We emailed Vango about this and were told in no uncertain terms that the poles simply fit through these non existent eyelets (not very impressive product knowledge)

Both these problems can be easily fixed-brass eyelet kit and self adhesive strips, but should this really be necessary on a brand new 2009 tent?

To sum up,we really love the tent but it's let down by some silly basic faults

Looking forward to many more trips this year, hopefully in the dry

I have just bought this tent for a week away, mainly as the previous tent we had was too big for our needs. I have used Vango before and love how simple the newer tents are to put up. I got the footprint with this tent too (custom groundsheet) and this makes pitching so easy.

Step 1: Lay out and peg groundsheet

Step 2: Feed poles from one side, clipping poles in on one side

Step 3: Peg in back of tent square with groundsheet

Step 4: Push poles and clip in other side, this will form the arc

Step 5: Pull the tent forward so it is taught and then peg in.

Simple!

I have never been more impressed with a tent, the ground sheet is sown in, the compartments are already in. Basically all in one pitching!

Massive living area as shown in my photos, the sleeping compartment is capable of being split into 2 areas (hence the two doors) and there is ample room for 2 double air beds.

Throughout the tent I am able to stand up easily which is good I am 6'4' with a couple more inches available.

I am very happy with the tent and look forward to many many years of happy camping!

Very good tent good living area and the sleeping accommodation is very spacious. The sewn in groundsheet is very good although the door can allow water to come in, if you are not very careful. Overall a very well designed tent and very comfortable. There is only the two of us and it provides us with ample space. I do think though that it may be slightly crowded with the maximum capacity of five.
