5 Reviews of the Morpheus 8

This tent is excellent. Just back from our first trip and absolutely loved the size of it. There was only me and the hubby and dog but I love space so it was perfect and not cold either as I thought with there been so few people in it it would feel cold but it was ok.
It was really easy putting it up although it was a bit windy so took us longer than our practice pitch . I love the porch space for cooking but the fitting of the porch was not great. It was fine at first but the windier it got the worse it got. It fit the sides great but the top of it would not stay over the top of the extension, bit of a design fault as you really need the porch to cook in if the weathers bad but all your equipment would be wet through because the rain would get in. We took it down the night before we left as it was really windy. We are going to get it adapted by putting the same clips on the top seam as it has down the sides to clip it to the pole because we don't want to not use the porch as it was one of the main reasons we got it.
But overall a fantastic tent and can't wait for the next trip. Would have given it a ten if the porch was fitted better.

First, the good news. If you want a spacious tent with plenty of space this tent needs to be in your short list. We are a family of six, albeit four of us are six and under. We only use three of the four internal bedrooms but will grow into the fourth. Lots of room for family games up front. Bad news. If you break a brow pole no where stocks a replacement. I am also on my third replacement. Not one has been un damaged out of the bag. Maybe that's bad luck.

This tent has the worst instructions imaginable - they are mostly a few pictures, so the first time we put it up was awful and took nearly 2 hours - admittedly we had 3 children 'trying ' to help so they added time < least thats what my husband says. Packing away was easy though - it fit back into the bag beautifully and we recommend getting the floor print so you stay clean.
Inside its spacious and the little pods for sleeping in are great - we're a family of 5 and I think we will grow up in the tent with ease. Brilliant buy.

HUGE tent that ticked all the boxes. Coming from a Sprayway Valley 8 we wanted another large tent that could accommodate a family of 5 but this time we wanted more space out front by way of a canopy. Nearly opted for the Hi Gear Corado 8 but with insect hating daughters a SIG AND doors that fully zip was a must and this is one of the only tunnel tents this big that can deliver.
Pros: Size/Space, Ease of Pitching (30 mins first time), quality (compared to the Sprayway canvas) and versatility (3 doors and 10+ windows).
Cons: Black guy ropes (?), extension needs some practice (as per the other review it didn't hold up to strong winds BUT on the 2nd attempt we found another way that improved this a great deal)
Overall a great tent, highly recommended for anyone looking for space and the elusive 100% fully sealed living area.

This tent is huge, created a lot of interest on our first trip with it. In reality with the porch on you are looking at approx 9 meters long, you'll need a jumbo plot and it can be challenging finding a site that will accommodate you. Plenty of space so if weather is poor there's lots of room inside for everyone to be comfortable.
Tent stood up to 16 hours of non stop rain and 50 mph winds with only a few drips.
With the sheer size of the tent it is quite difficult to put up, doesn't take that long but the size and weight make it very physical. Also it comes in lots of bags (five with all the add-ons) so you'll need a big car. Biggest issue with putting up this tent is the instructions are appalling so it takes a lot of trial and error.
We bought the porch for even more space. Again instructions are non existent. The fit is really poor and it needs to be taken down if you get strong winds, or it will take itself down.
Pleased with it overall as a family tent with lots of space.
