They say you get what you pay for. It would be true for the Leben Munich 6. It's budget camping. There are no instructions. No colour coded poles or sleeves which would help as the larger of the two sleeping areas has a different sized pole as it sits at an angle. Once erected, the sleeping pods are stretched to their limited to secure to outer. The smaller of the two isn't worth putting up. I bought a larger tarp/sheet to put on ground and omitted the smaller pod which gives a bigger living area. It appears that all tent manufacturers base their occupancy levels on the chinese population stature. For a weekend tent on a budget this is ideal for four maybe but for a week away no way! We too had problems with the door zips once erected and we're seasoned campers. We found that as a day tent for 6 as a place for meals, refreshments before going to beach or after being on the beach it is ideal with one pod up for changing clothes etc.The only saving grace is it is easy to put up once you know how. I would say if you are on a budget and want a basic tent then this is ideal. Don't expect miracles. We haven't used it much so cannot give a full appraisal but first impressions have been mixed. Will update later this year.

I went camping for the first time this weekend in the Leben Munich 6. Purchased for £60 off eBay I was concerned that I would get what I paid for i.E. It wouldn't be of an acceptable quality, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
I have put up a few tents in the past so although the instructions left a lot to be desired, after one practise run in the garden putting it up at the camp site was a breeze.
We had 3 nights in the tent. The first 2 were in good weather but the 3rd was horrendous with heavy rain and strong winds for 10 hours. I have to say that the tent coped fairly well. Yes it did leak slightly in places, especially around the door seams, but on the whole we remained warm and fairly dry. The only exception was in the smaller bedroom which is meant to sleep 2 adults. We had 2 12 year old boys sleeping top to tail and it was a bit of a squeeze. Because of this the back of the bedroom would touch the outer skin of the tent and let in moisture. Whether this was rain water or condensation I can't be sure but there was certainly more moisture on the wet night.
The one big let down for me was the quality of the zips. We had one of the doors open when pegging in the poles and tightening the straps and as a result the door would not zip shut fully. I know this is probably an amateur mistake and one I won't make again but I still expected the zips to be able to cope with a certain amount of force instead of the teeth just pulling apart. This was also the case on the bedrooms but this was easily overcome by not hooking in one of the side fasteners and therefore over stretching the doorway.
So despite a couple of flaws I would recommend this tent. Especially to those wanting to toy with the idea of camping before maybe moving onto something bigger and better. That was our intention originally but we will stick with this tent for a few more trips!
Here are some tips that may help:
Make a note of how the tent comes out of the bag if you ever want to get it back in - poles & pegs rolled up in the canvas and then rolled in the bedrooms and then the groundsheet.
Make sure the poles are evenly inserted by counting how many sections are visible at each end. Otherwise you will end up with the canvas tight to the ground at one side and a large gap at the other.
Peg in the bedrooms separate to the groundsheet and the canvas - This may be the intended way of doing it but the instructions don't say.
Keep the doors shut when pegging the tent and tightening the straps
Put the smallest members of your group in to the small bedroom

I got this tent as a very cheap purchase off ebay. The instructions were diabolical - we were total novices when pitching it for the first time and hadn't a clue what we were doing. There is no help on leben's website either.
We only found out that we hadn't secured the poles properly when we were packing up after our first stay and one of the other campers told us he'd had to rescue it the day before as one end was about to blow away and pointed out what we'd done wrong.
It's not a high quality tent, but then for £20 I didn't expect one! The groundsheet in the main area isn't sewn in and so we had leaks - although to be fair that would have been minimised if we'd put it up correctly.
It's a really basic cheap tent and if you just want to keep the rain off you then it'll be fine. However, if you're wanting something to last for a few years then this isn't the one for you. We just used it once to see if we liked camping and then invested in a more expensive quality one.

Have just been away this weekend to Twickenham in our Leben tent. Having read everyone's reviews on them I was quite concerned when I checked the weather forecast - very strong wind and heavy rain. But I have to be honest the tent stood up to the weather brilliantly ! So much so that I can only presume the other 'bad' reports from people with a Leben tent must have been a faulty batch ? The tent took a real hammering with very heavy downpours which lasted up to an hour and continuous rain for a few hours - the only place it leaked was around the zips in the doors (which to be honest I would have expected due to the weather we had). The wind was the tail end of Gale Tomina so that gives you some sort of indication as to what it took. It was quick and easy to put up/take down and had sufficient room inside although I don't think it would sleep 6 comfortably, (unless you are very good friends, like with most tents they think you all sleep like sardines in a can) we only use it for the two of us and it is great, giving us more than enough room to use one end for us and the other for storage. If I had to be critical then my only point would be it could do with a few more guy ropes and once it is pulled into shape it loses some of the height, (it states it is 190 I would guess this is more like 170) but it didn't bother us or hinder the tents ability to cope. For a cheap buy from Ebay I did get an incredible bargain. Some have said they look cheap in comparison to other tents - I would disagree - it fits in perfectly and after all as long as it keeps you warm and dry who cares.
