This year is the 3rd time we've used our new Vango Samara 600. Yet again the half-term break we've just returned from rained the majority of the time. The tent is easy to put up (we've now got it to 20 minutes) and 15 to pack away neatly in the bag. The only thing is that my tiddly husband yanked the front door zip too hard and make it jump off the end. The very high winds/rain were kept well at bay by closing the broken door with the velcro patches. We just used one of the two side doors after that. I now have to hunt around to try and find a repair shop as I wish to save this fantastic tent. Stands up to high winds and heavy rain for hours. The space inside fits up to 6 and you have plenty of space for oblong table/chairs. Only suggestion for future models is that Vango put in the electric inlet on both sides, not one as our electric hookup point meqnt we had a lead on the grass laying in front of the tent.

We bought this to replace our ageing Vango V500. Very impressed with the build quality, storage space, ease of erection and repacking. Have used it 5 times this year, twice in heavy rain ( the joys of UK camping ! ), and once in high wind. We never had a drop of rain in the tent.
However this tent does not cope with high winds ( 23 - 25mph + gusts according to the weather forecast ).
Overnight one of the tensioners separated from the roof of the tent, and the second had torn half way through.
We started to empty the tent and pack, when two poles failed at the same time, causing the tent to collapse.
This tent is great, but does not cope with winds.
Our next tent will still be a Vango as their build and layout is very good, but it will have metal poles, not flex poles.

Just had our second outing with this tent and the awning. Even the rainiest June in 100 years couldn't make our tent leak!
With the awning the tent in enormous. The awning allowed us to keep food and mud outside the main tent. The only complaint being that it also covers most of the windows for the tent and results in a little less breathability.
It's hard to get anything wrong with the setup as we're not really hardcore campers and we still managed to put it up while watching a six-year-old and a toddler.
It's definitely a tent to be comfortable in - maybe a bit big for a weekend only camp!

Just used our new Vango Samara 600 for the first time this half-term at a site near Alton Towers. It rained the whole 4 days but the tent withstood the wind and rain. It was easy to put up (35 mins) and the bedrooms hung into place. I might velcro patches to attach the dividing curtain to the back seam for more privacy for my teenage son and daughter. Tension bands did their job well. Pockets handy but not too much weight. Light and spacious - we needed our oblong table n chairs inside the whole time. I recommend an eye mask for deep sleep as the light still comes thru in the bedrooms. My only niggle was the zip for the electric cable only one side and this effects which hook up you attach to. Great tent and my daughter and myself (a weak female) erected the outer in our back garden when we got it last autumn to check for faults on our own. We took photos of each stage of how the main tent was folded and typed a A4 sheet with instructions n photos to help us remember how to fit it back into the bag with ease! Can't wait for our 2 weeks summer hols.

We used our tent for the first time this weekend at the Tudorpark Campsite nr Slimbridge.
It was the Jubilee weekend and a very wet weekend at that. This tent is a good as the rest of the reviewers say it is. It is very easy to pitch and take down. The space in it is superb and the living area accommodated us an our 10 fellow campers to sit around in the evening - warming the tent whilst they were about it!

First time using it this weekend. It was ok to put up and stood up to the wind we had over the weekend well. The only problem we had was putting in the storm shelter canopy. It seemed to tight so we gave up before damaging the tent. We are a family of 5, two adult and 3 kid and the sleeping arrangement of 2*2*2 or 4*2 suited us great. Overall it has loads of room and as we had the front canopy it was great for us.

Love this tent when it is sunny its keeps the heat in very well and when its it cold and raining no leaks what so ever. It took me and a friend 45 mins to put up the first time and 25 mins to put in the bag. Bag is heavy but this is like the mercedes benz of tents. Also no creepy crawlies and no bother. Love that

I done a lot of searching at the beginning of the year after selling my caravan, we wanted something that was spacious as we are two large adults and two children.
We went for a couple of weekends away in the early summer but it was two weeks in Wales in the school holidays that tested the tent. It was raining as we started to erect the tent but still managed to have it up and inner tents all in place and the kettle on in about 25minuets. It was a great holiday but it did rain on most days the first week but not one drop inside the tent, would not buy another tent unless it had the sewn in ground sheet. It was just as easy to take the tent down and yes if fitted back into the bag without a problem.
Overall love the tent and is really spacious, we used it with just the two bedrooms, as we have a queen air bed and would not fit in otherwise. Can not wait for next year.

We spent a great deal of time deciding which tent to buy, and selected this one because of its design, head room, feeling of spaciousness, darker bedroom and of course, price. We got a good deal on-line and paid just £270. We didn't purchase the awning as we are just 2 and don't need any more space.
We haven't been camping for several years and so were delighted that the tent was easy to erect, although it took about 40 minutes with my husband doing most of the work as I've got a bad back.
Although it is 6 berth, we sleep in the larger compartment and use the other one to store stuff we're not using.
There are plenty of windows and vents and a small porch on the side. Groundsheets are all sewn in, so there are no draughts and it keeps the beasties out to some extent.
The bedroom area is made of a darker fabric, which is helpful if you're a light sleeper.
Really pleased with our new tent, just need some nice weather to put it to good use!
