Have just bought this discontinued tent for £75 brand new. For the price, amazing tent. Only put up so far but not yet used. Initial thoughts are that photos do not do tent any justice or give a sense of scale, it is very large. Great sturdy poles and high quality materials used. 45 mins to erect first time, it will get quicker though. Be aware there are 2 versions of this tent, I don't know which I have but there is no window on the very front panel and the bedroom has 2 dividers. This means the bedroom can be configured into 3 doubles, 2 triples or 1 huge bedroom. The poles sleeves, door zip cover and bedroom inner panels are black not yellow as most pictures show on my version. Really happy. I have a long weekend and weeks trip to Wales planned for May and July 10' will provide more info when it is tested in anger :-)

Gave 8 out of 10 because it hasn't been properly tested yet and was disappointed my version doesn't come with a window on the foremost panel.

Just an update really.

Took this tent away in storms and it stood up to them no problem even though it is very tall.

Having worked out how to lay our the poles, we have also sussed the footprint groundsheet and so now it only takes us about 20 mins to pitch - the secret is to lay the groundsheet out roughly and peg it at the two furthest points next to the doors. Then put the inner tents in so that you can locate the hole in the middle for the peg. THEN peg the rest of the groundsheet.

Previously we were trying to fit the groundsheet before we put the inners in, at which point we would realise the pegging point was in the wrong place and have to start again.

I will be very sad if this tent isn't usable next year as we love it now, and haven't seen anything comparable.

Another update. Please to say this tent is still going strong!

Just stood up to another week in wet and windy Cornwall, yes it shook, but it stayed firm, no leaks. Its been ripped and patched now where DH tripped out a door, but we still can't see any reason to replace it - and can't find anything we would want to replace it with which is more worrying.

The living area comes into its own on wet holidays - plenty of room for table, stools, cooker, larder cupboard and four people to sit comfortably in directors chairs!

We have just come back from a weekend away using this tent, bought it last year and never got away until now.

We had rain and severe wind last night and this tent stood up to it no problem at all.Was thinking it might be difficult to take down in the win but its not.Me, my wife and our son got it up and down with no great problems.Yes the poles are heavy but I believe if they had been carbon then the winds last night would have broken them.

It will be getting a lot more use in the future, as has been said the amount of room you have is amazing.Especially if like us there are only 3 of you.Full height is excellent as I hate getting a cricked neck haha.

Not a lot else to say except if you have the chance buy/try one you will be amazed at its usefulness.

Happy camping.

This was the first 'family tent' we bought and we have been extremely pleased with it.

Chosen mainly for 3-week holidays in France it was perfect.

The poles are steel and very strong - but this also makes it very heavy - if you don't lay the poles correctly in the first place its really hard work to rearrange them. The being said once you know that its a doddle to pitch the fly.

It has a seperate footprint groundsheet - and this is the bit that takes the time because of the strange shape of the tent.

The inners are a great size for a family of 4 - wouldn't really be comfy for 6.

It has a huge living area, and I love that it has doors on both sides and at the front - totally flexible which way you pitch it on a site and it opens up like a gazebo when its hot. The windows are huge as well which makes it pleasant to be in when its raining.

The other great thing is the height - it is full height in both the living area and the bedrooms.

I think the only things that could improve this tent would be lighter-weight poles and a bucket groundsheet (zip in would be fantastic).

We have just bought a slightly smaller more light-weight tent for weekends - hoping it will be quicker to pitch, but already wishing we had the bedroom layout of this one.

This fantastic new invention turns a can of drink into a sealed bottle, protecting drinks from being spilt, keeping out creepy crawlies, and keeping fizz in. They are a must for any camper or caravanner.
