10 Reviews of the Shadow 600

We purchased our Shadow 600 for short breaks as we already own a Sunncamp 12 berth which is a little too much effort for a couple of nights.
We managed to get the tent up quite easily in quite a gusty field ( I know they all seem to be!). Plenty of room for cooker, table, chairs should you want them. Everyone could stand up without touching the roof.
We did have slightly more fun getting the tent packed back in the bag. When trying to roll it round the poles to get the air out it just seemed to trap the air. We ended up opening the doors and rolling form both ends to centre and finally rolled against each other to the end! This on quite a calm day.

Yoy could say we are first timers, last went camping in 1970! Bought this tent to share with my daughter and family plenty of room for her, hubby and two kids and loads of room for the wife and me. We have used the tent three times this year and we love it. The two of us can have it pitched with everything in and sat having a glass of Chardonnay within the hour -just. Easy to erect and take down, adjustable ring and pin system means no forcing. Like the layout, with only two of us and all three bed rooms up we have plenty of storage and still lots of room in the living area.Well made tent stood up to some high winds at Pillaton. One small problem is inserting the poles into the eyebrow porch bit of force needed there. But overall yes 10/10

Upgraded this year from our very trusted Sunncamp Odyssey XL and extremely pleased. Having had a Sunncamp for the past 7 years we wanted to stick with Sunncamp as we knew it will withstand terrible wind and rain. Generally it is only the two of us with a four legged friend that camps but having two sons and never knowing when they may turn up out of the blue for a Barbie around a camp fire and a couple of beers we always feel we need to 'put them up' at a drop of a hat the three bedrooms were great. So this year when one son came with us and the other turned up with his partner there was plenty of room for all and table/chairs, a couple of large stack n store boxes and holdalls. Had a few heavy showers during July which ran off nicely and dried quickly with a little sun early morning before pack up. Set up is quick and easy with 2 people, but for pack up, and a little tip - make sure the doors are open before removing poles. Highly recommend this tent. A very reasonable price too.

Fantastic tent. Bought last minute and it was so easy to put up and very comfortable to live in! We managed to fit in all childrens toys table chairs and toilet and we still lived comfortably in it. Can't wait until we can use it again!
Our kids found it fantastic and felt very grown up having a bedroom of their own. Our dog also got a bedroom of her own and loved every minute of it! So easy to use and take down again.
Roll on next year so we can use it again!

Brought this tent in a mad panic from a local retailer for £169.99 as we were fed up with getting cold and wet every year in our original Sunncamp without a sewn in groundsheet.
Fantastic value, easy to put up (we have previously put Sunncamp tents up so knew the basics) and just as easy to take down and pack away. Went away with 2 adults and 5 kids and we all fitted in it nicely. 3 kids in one room, 2 in another and 2 adults in another. Plenty of room to stand and move around freely, we fitted in a kitchen with all our kit and caboodle, big box and about 4 big bags, table and four chairs and we still had plenty of room.
We had bad rain and wind on our first night and not a drop of rain got in. Slight condensation problem but what do you expect with 7 bodies in one tent!

We brought this tent for our holidays this year, used it for the first time May school holidays and what a result! Plenty of room, my husband is over 6ft and had plenty of headroom and leg room in the sleeping chambers. We had some quite bad rain through the night a couple of times, but not a single bit got through, our site was on a coastal cliff and it withstood the wind really well as well! All round really good buy and well worth the money.

We brought this tent from an exhibition in July and have used it twice now, we really like it. It has all of the space we need, including lots of headroom so no more aching backs from crouching. We managed to put it up within about 45mins, both outings it has rained and we have remained dry and cosy inside. All in all a great tent.

Just upgraded our tent to this model, WOW it's fantastic, took us about 20 mins to erect (and my hubby did most of the work) Plenty of room, and withstood quite bad weather. We have two kids, 11 and 7 and lots of bits that I can't possibly live without, and we still had plenty room. Great Tent and not a bad price. £169

I bought this tent to take to Glastonbury last year. I'm in my late 40's and couldn't face the thought of trying to crawl into a little tent in the rain and dark so wanted something easy to put up and big enough to stand up in. It took about 30 mins for three of us to put it up, not bad for a first time. On the Thursday night the heavens opened (surprise surprise) the tent never missed a beat. No leaks anywhere and having the living area for the muddy wellies and coats was fantastic. Three of us slept in an inner section each, what comfort! Pity the Glastonbury toilets didn't match up! For a tent that only cost me about £150 it was brilliant. Highly recommended.

Absolutely great. We have an expanding family at present we only use two rooms for the kids but as the grow older we have the third for there use. It is spacious and the metallic groundsheet helps maintain the heat within the tent. 2 of us put it up in 30 minutes bearing in mind I was 34 weeks pregnant rather large, had bronchitis and it was 21 degrees. Not bad going I think if we can do it under these circumstances should take 2 fully abled people with no holdbacks about 15 - 20 minutes.
