I bought a Vaude space in 1992 and am still using it. It is a fantastic tent. This year we decided that instead of using our big family tent we would use small ones instead so bought a vaude space 2 for our 9 year old to use.
It isn't quite as quick to erect as the original Space, but is still very quick - we take less than 5 mins to have it ready to throw the bags in if it is raining. There are significantly more guy ropes on it than on the original space which means it uses more pegs and takes longer to guy but obviously improves its effectiveness in wind and rain.
It is very quick to take down and to dry out. It benefits from a door back and front, where the original had only one door.
Vaude really know what they are doing when it comes to well made tents and we had no hesitation in spending the money when it came to getting this one as we have been so pleased with our original one.
