Bought this tent to use in summer on a walking holiday across Rannoch moor in Scotland. Main considerations for me were price followed by size and weight. This tent only weighs 2kg and pack down nice and small with its bag having compression straps. Fits back into its bag easily too which makes a nice change from some tents I've owned. Coped admirably with torrential rain and was much nicer with it's twin vertical doors and porch for cooking in than a friends tent with its horizontal entrance. I can comfortably sit or kneel at the tents highest point which is also a great bonus. Plenty of room for me and kit (dry stuff inside and wet stuff in the porch) but I'd say it's only suitable for one and kit and not two people.

Fast and easy to pitch even in windy conditions too, although getting the main pole onto it's attachments was a bit of a faf the first couple of times. So far it's survived a couple of walking holidays and three motorcycle touring trips plus the Dragon rally in Feb in North Wales. For the price I paid, I fully expected it to be disposable considering my abuse of it. It's been packed away wet many times so far - however it shows no signs of failing yet! The only casualty has been a bent tent peg. Great value.

Good lightweight tent for those for whom weight/pack size is an issue. The manufacturers state 'is a tight fit for 2 big people' and I concur with that! It was fine for me (5ft0) and my 5-year-old, but I wouldn't fancy sharing it with 6ft spouse. As a one man or 'parent+child' it's perfect. Room for two Vango self-inflating mats, and as we're both short we stored our gear rucksack at our feet. Food bag, stove and boots went in the porch. Enough head room for me to sit comfortably.

Quick and easy to put up - peg the corners, insert one bent pole and attach it to the pins; the rest is just guy ropes and a little 'tail' pole at the back. I found getting the pole into the pins hard, but hopefully it'll ease with time as the tapes stretch.

Held up well in average conditions (showers, light winds), haven't tested it in anything more extreme. We did have a fair bit of condensation on the morning of our departure, might be something to consider if you're the type who likes a quick getaway.

Fitted back into bag easily (there's a demo video of this on the quechua website).

All in all, a great backpacking tent for one (or one and a half). Giving it nine stars because of the size issue, otherwise I fully recommend it.

Firstly, this tent is black. Now that is either cool or coffin like - or a cool coffin. It's a two man tent that is really a roomy one man tent, I'm 6' and have no problem sitting up and turning around. Setting up is dead easy, one through pole and one stick to hold up the vent tail, 9 pegs to hold it all down. Plenty of space in the vestibule for your boots and room inside for dry kit, the large front entrance works so much better than a slide in side entrance. I cant vouch for it's weatherproof credentials yet or it's ability to withstand a gale but I trust it to do a good job when it happens. At 2kg all in it's a nice tent for summer backpacking at low levels - if you're going up a mountain then get you wallet out. I give 8/10 for the T2 but I haven't made a direct comparison to another tent.
