Can anyone explain to me how to lay out the couch cushions when setting up use for a double bed. Had to use a singles on our first use. Just moved from a tent to this unit and stopped on trip home from seller. So far OK but new learning curve.

We made the move from a folding camper to a Gobur over 2 years ago and it's been brilliant. Been out at least 15 times this year, mostly weekends, with no problems as they are so well made.
Hope you enjoy your Gobur as much as we do.

Our move to the Gobur is quite step from a Vango Incarus 500 plus full awning giving us a 24 ft long tent to a Gobur Carousel 10/2 but we are looking forward to the experience. We did use it for one night on the way home from purchasing it at the same campsite that made us think about go for a camping set up that would be simple and quick to set up and not so weather dependant. We had driven from Dover to beside Newcastle intending to stop overnight but the ground was so wet it was not be possible to use the tent so we just kept driving north. We cant say how long our full journey was but it was a long time. Now we have the Gobur the set up is simple and we were indoors ina few minutes, so far very impressed. Thansk for your input and maybe meet at one of the Gobur owners rally locations

Subaru we have a pennine Pullman camper and are thinking of changing to a gobur, are the beds able to be used as singles if not how do you cope with making the bed up every night, also does it feel cramped as the inner not as big as the folding camper overall, we are seriously looking but just need information from someone who has one, pluses and minus information would be great, as you can see we too are in Warwickshire

There are many different models of Gobur.
Slimline 10ft or 12ft long
Standard Width 10ft or 12ft long
Clubman 13ft long.

Within each size there are different layouts.

Look at the new ones here, the old ones are the same. Nothing much changes with Gobur.

We had a Conway Countryman for 5 years and spent some time waiting for the right Gobur.
We bought the 12T standard width model as it has the option of 2 single beds or a very large double plus the toilet/washroom. This has been perfect for our needs as the slimline model would not have given us enough space after the folding camper.
If we had any thoughts of changing it would only be for a newer version of the same model but if looked after they really don't show their age and and retain a good resale value.

Yes, that's about it the same high quality product, progressively subtly refined and relentlessly churned out year after year. Makes for a class leader.

subaru so the beds can be used as singles, I thought the beds were 4 feet 6 inches by 6 feet 1 inch so I presumed the seats were 4 feet six long and you had to make the bed up across the camper to get the 6 foot length

Some Goburs have long settees which can be used as two singles or a very large double. Could even sleep 3 on it such as a couple and small child.

Other Goburs have short settees which can only be made into a double.

In the 12 ft standard width there is:-
12/2TD meaning 12 ft, 2 berth with toilet and double bed.
12/2T meaning 12 ft, 2 berth with toilet and either 2 singes or normal double or huge double bed.

They even made a 12/2TDS meaning 12 ft, 2 berth with toilet and double bed but one settee was long so could be a single.

They played off the compromise between sitting/sleeping space versus storage/worktop space perfectly.

You really need to look at the Gobur website and see all the different models available.

Thanks navel for the information, have looked at the website for a while now, I was trying to get an owners perspective on the change from a folding camper to a gobur as the camper I have is larger than the goburs so trying to make up our minds as what to do, we have also spoken to Richard Moss from gobur at the nec as I have said just after a first hand experience

It really is well worth looking at the Gobur website as this was how we worked out which was was best layout for us.

We went for the 12/2T as we wanted 2 single beds and the toilet/washroom. Ours is also fitted with a Carver gas/mains water heater and motor mover.

To gain extra space we have a porch awning on the door side and a Fiamma Caravanstore roll out awning on the other side

We had a great 5 years with the folding camper but thhe Gobur is so quick and easy to set up that it has extended our season.

Athough it is now under a winter cover we intend to use it again the first two weekends in March and for a week at the end of March without the worry of packing away wet.

We look foward to hearing if you decide that a Gobur may suit your needs.
