Our Trigano Chantilly GL was not in good nick two years ago. Having not moved or opened it since the summer before COVID began, I dread to think what the mould has done to it.

Whilst we have sown patches and tried to demould previously, we don't have an industrial sized sewing machine and neither do we have room to do repairs at home.

Has anyone ever replaced the whole fabric on their TT? We are wondering if that might be necessary. If it is, we are wondering if it might be more sensible simply to replace the whole outfit and start again.

We bought it second hand for about 2.5k five or six years ago so are hoping it's salvageable bit I'm just thinking about options at the moment.

Thank you for that. My wife has reminded me that we opened it in September and that the whole thing is now hideously mouldy. We haven't yet been able to open it out fully but are hoping to visit a friend with an enormous garden soon!

We did see one for sale privately for 550 on Gumtree the other day. Whilst we ummed and ahhed about buying privately, someone got in and bought it. (I had thought about buying it to cannibalise it. Once it had been sold, I realised it would have sense simply to use it!)

Just buy a Dandy. PVC not canvas so lasts for ever.

I have looked at the Dandy range. Well, and the combi-camp, the camplet, the opus, the Pennine, the raclet, the suncamp, the Trigano, and a few others I can't remember.

The problem is that the Trigano Chantilly plus awnings gives the perfect amount of space for us. (Wife and me plus two 6'4 teenaged boys and an 8 and 4 year old).

What we want is something that will give us the space but isn't an absolute bind to put up (especially when the teenagers start declining to come with us) and that won't be verging on impossible to dry. Oh, and that has raised beds. That is a non-negotiable for me having put up with several years of airbeds and rollmats, etc.

Oh, and it also needs to fit on our drive and all come within budget too. We're not asking much... (!)
