Very reluctantly I have decided to sell my motorhome. Just not the same camping on my own and the decision is made.

I have advertised it in several places and have just had a call from a company called 'MOTORHOME DEPOT'

I am very wary of scams and am alert to all the likely criminal or fraudulent issues involved in selling but am not sure about his lot.

I have an address for them and they advertise on line as in link below:

https://www.motorhomedepot.com/

The caller said they act as a broker. They send a Franchisee to my house and he/she assesses the value and we agree it then they advertise it. They weed out time wasters and other unwanted callers. They then arrive with potential buyer and stay until transaction is completed. The van remains with me the whole time and is not handed over until the money has passed into my bank account and has been verified by my bank.

They of course take a commission. I have set my price pretty low to start with. She would not tell me what the commission would be as that would be for the franchisee to decide.

Has any one used this company or know anything about it. I would be very grateful for any advice.

Have you read the reviews on Trustpilot, doesn't make good reading.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Our friends bought an elderly MH off an equally elderly single lady. She advertised it on Gumtree & it sold in days: if they hadn't taken it, there was someone else waiting.
UKCS also has a Classified section.
I think that you'll get much less if you use this (or any) broker, like using a firm to claim PPI or accident compensation when you can do it yourself. They'll take a bigger cut than they initially say because they'll take more off for bodywork damage etc. They may also pressurise you, like a replacement window firm man that wouldn't leave my house until I told him to go.
The main thing is to get the money - a recent article in the paper said to go with the buyer to a bank, they get cash out & you put it into your account.
