Newby question, please could anyone tell me if you are ok to use the lorry section for buying Adblue as it seems to be available in their section? Thanks in advance 😊

Probably easier to get it in bottles from any large supermarket or the service station you fill up at. 10litre cheapest but heavy. 5litre more practical though. Both come with pouring spouts that fit exactly in the filler neck. How many miles are you planning to do in Europe ? I would have thought if you leave UK with a full adblue tank that should last you.

Thanks Billy, Iíd heard itís easier to obtain
here than in the uk, we havenít topped up before so had no idea how much we had or would need!
We have just found a fuel station that had Adblue pumps amongst the normal pumps and not just the lorries! Thereís a lot to learn after 25+ years of caravanning!
Thanks again 😊

I suspect it will be a lot cheaper in the EU than here, it has more than doubled here.

I can travel from home to the South of France and back, over 2500 miles, and will only need to top up about a month after coming home.

I would buy in the supermarket or filling station shop.

If you mean they are adblue prices I would presume they are prices per 100litres ? What vehicle do you have ? You should be able to find out approx adblue consumption & provided you are full before you leave that should be sufficient unless you intend to do a very large mileage. Adblue tank capacity on your vehicle should be in handbook. The first low warning light should give you about 1500miles to fill up so plenty of warning.

I think I must have lost the plot as my points have disappeared!
I paid Ä1.069 per litre in Holland, it was the first time we had put any in so was unsure of how much we had, it will be easier to work out now!
Thanks everyone

£17 in Morrisons for an easy to use 10L tub, with carry handle and pouring spout. Re-usable/resealable, so no requirement to use it all in one go.
Either fill up before you go*, or lob it in the boot until needed. Any subsequent warning to top up will advise on-screen as to minimum and maximum top-up requirement (in litres).

I've just put a full 10L in (Was advised max. of 10.2L required on the display) and it now shows full, with a 4,750 mile range until empty (So will fill up again in c. 3500 miles!)

*I've never filled-up without knowing the max. input required, so never "over-filled". No idea whether there's a shut off, or whether it can overflow!

EDIT:
So sorry... only just realised what section I'm in! I'm referring to a car (Large MPV).
Those pennies-per-litre may be more relevant to a motorhome, assuming they have bigger tanks! My bad!

That was on special offer. Not sure for how long, or the normal price.
In Derby store, none on the shelf (very tiny motoring section) but piled high on a pallet on the way out... after the tills!
Just be aware that mine scanned at a higher price at self serve. Had to call assistant to cancel the scan and put it through manually at the advertised £17.

We buy from Aldi when it's in on a special - £8.99 for 10 litres last time, as I recall. We fill up (the car) before we go to France - never anywhere near near empty 2000+ miles later.

I think you will find £8.99 is long gone, even for Aldi.

All to do with importation and gas prices.
