... seeing the Hymer Venture S got me thinking about the next van!
I believe I have space to park a longer van outside my house up to 7m.
Should I opt for the best base van (automatic, biggest engine, with air con and safety features etc.) that I could afford and have it converted, or would it be possible to get the best chassis base and build it up?
Building from the chassis upwards should allow a drop-down bed to be fitted across the van instead of lengthwise, as shape will be more rectangular and not a trapezoid if you know what I mean, and I might be able to keep to a van that is under 6m in length.
Are there any MH builders who would supply just the basic shell for the interior to be customised by the clients?
Would a van build from the chassis upwards be more problematic to maintain compared with a PVC?
Bear in mind that this is only a dream at this stage, as I don't have 100k GBP to spare!
