We really RATE winter caravanning, all warm and snug in the van and away from everything. Less good when it's pouring with rain for setting and packing up and trying to get the waterproofs dry in between dog walks (I hate trying to put on wet waterproofs!).

That's a decent length walk for us, EVEN in the dry! The speed one of our dogs goes, it'd take us all day.
