I've watched a video whereby they claim that the route cause of type 2 diabetes is caused by ceramides in the body and that some people have them and others don't. The treatment of Metformin only controls the disease but doesn't cure it and never will. However, in the United States, laboratories have produced a tablet that contains ingredients of minerals, flowers, tea plus other additives that were found to be effective by a doctor in Tibet who claims that it's the only treatment that will cure type 2 diabetes for good. Not only does it cure the disease but enables the body fat to be dramatically reduced in the matter of months and has been tested on thousands of people who have the condition. The product is called 'Glucofort' and wondered if anyone has ever heard of this medication or tried it with positive results.

I have had type 2 diabetes for 23years. Nothing will cure it for me! I am on insulin. I have never exceeded 75kg and i have it under control. If you are very obese loosing weight will considerably help your cause and MAY take you out of it. Some ladies suffer from it during pregnancy but loose it after the birth. dont believe all you read from the States they will sell you anything to make money. The type of medicines you mention have been sold for many illnesses and a bunch of herbs never cured anything. The secret is to make it live with you and keeping it under control. If you have it I wish you well but dont let it stop you living.

I agree with Manty, if it were that good it would be Used by the NHS and save millions of pounds each year treating type 2 diabetes.

Agree with both above posters. I have a few friends who have diabetes, one of them now sadly no longer with us, had Type 1 since his 20's. The others all have Type II. If that treatment is such a cure-all, then why is it not used worldwide? A classic case of mis-information methinks, but sadly a lot of people will believe it and line these people's pockets with money as a result.

They said that the pharmaceutical companies are making billions of pounds profit each year supplying drugs for diabetes type 2 and that if the cure was presented to the NHS then the pharmaceutical industry would suffer tremendously financially. We all Know how rip off Britain works by now as everything evolves around money and people's lives come second. We found this out when Covid struck the UK whereby many older people became victims of the virus due to the lack of care so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that there is some truth behind why they would halt a possible cure for diabetes. If they put peoples health before profit then I think the NHS would introduce the measures in order to treat diabetes with a positive success rate.

i am what they call Pre diabetic.

carrying too much weight and a crap diet.

that doesnt tell the full story. i`m an under eater, i eat one meal a day, when i finish work at midnight and dont eat for the rest of the day. i experienced hypo like symptoms and the doctor put me on a diet where i actually have to eat more.

Another doctor friend recommended a book called the 8 week blood sugar diet (see here) and i fully intend to follow it.

I have to follow the first docs diet for 3 months to complete the tests, then i`m swapping.

I recommended the book to a friend who is type 2, and after 4 months he had lost 4 stone, and had his medication halved.

it seems that for some, it is possible to reduce if not completely stop type 2 medication.

Doctors always say if you are type 2 its because you are overweight, I've been diabetic type 2 since 1998,been on insulin for 22 years,Im not overweight and never have been,I'm not a doctor. but couldn't it also be caused by your pancreas not working as well it once did,the heart, liver and other organs can give problems,,but with type 2 it's always because you overweight

It can also be genetic, but hard to know as our parents' generation were not tested.

The misconception amongst many is that Type2 diabetes is curable, it is possible to prevent it or control it by a balanced diet and exercise regime but if you have it you can only control it.

Another Type 2 here, confirmed in June 2019 after suspecting I was pre-diabetic for a few months.

Lost about a stone since then down to 10.5st, controlled by medications, tried to change my diet as much as possible, out went the daily can of sugary pop at lunch time, cut down on sugar and starchy food as much as I could, ate as healthily as I could.

Cholesterol went up, and now on a statin to bring it down as diet alone won't cut it.

I have known a few people who managed to reverse their Type 2, however, I am not certain if I have the willpower to do so, and to be really honest, I do not want to end up being a diet bore that count calories and be a killjoy when out and about at bars and restaurants.

Got to live a little, and everything in moderations I'd say!

My granddaughter is a registered dietician working in a large hospital and deals mostly with people who have eating disorders ,a large no of whom are diabetic.
Her advice to me was all foods in moderation and have regular meals, reduce the amount of carbs eaten, largely found in processed foods ,white bread potatoes and rice and substitute them with lower GI foods. I only eat Lidl low GI bread and substitute potatoes with more green leaf veg etc but make up my diet with a corresponding intake of higher protein foods i.e. fish/red meat/ pulses etc.
At my last health check my diabetes was well controlled, my HBA1C was 49 my average blood pressure was normal my cholesterol was 3.1 my BMI was spot on and all my organs, kidneys/liver were functioning as they should.
My lifestyle changes have vastly improved my diabetic control but I still have to take medication.

A hopeful update for type 1 diabetics. An article in todays (Sunday) Times of a doctor in USA reckons he is on the way to reversing type 1 diabetes. Its a long process and will not be ready for general release for some considerable time but it looks very good.A good read for type 1 people. (page 24)

I refused medication and cut out a wide range of things - sugary drinks inc fruit juice, cream filled biscuits, spuds, white pasta, white rice, white bread, cake, desserts, buns, chocolate bars, milk chocolate .... instead everythings no added sugar, wholewheat, sugarfree yoghurt and 1 or 2 dry biscuits or squares of dark chocolate, maybe 1 or 2 spuds a week at most. Also eat only 1 red meat dinner a week, 1 veggie dinner and 1 fish, keep meat portions to 0.25lb per serving. Havent felt better since my 20s over 25 years ago ! Now religious about checking sugar content in everything ( youd be amazed how many things contain 25% of your day sugar intake). Might not work for everyone but it did for me.
