Last I read was 500,000 orders with production increased to 5,000 per week. (presumably global orders.)

Yep, the Tesla Model 3 is history in the making, despite numerous fires in the paint shop, things are going great, cars comming of production now have a very good finish.

They have also softened the Suspention making the ride ride less harsh than early release models.

The only criticism I have of the Model 3 is that it is a Sedan, and not a Hatch back, but that is a minor niggle.

I am suprised though that there has been no mention of a tow hitch option, as this was confirmed by Elon to be an option, maybe the tow hitch option will be third party, and not OEM, who knows!.

If it really was available for $35000. Maybe but its nowhere near that. $60k upwards with the extra's.

And it seems you cannot buy one without the extra's yet.

Why is the Tesla a game changer wheen you can buy a Chevrolet Bolt?

-------------
Post 1997 licence holder?

Max tow weight = Cars gross laden weight + Caravans gross laden weight.

These 2 figures must not exceed 3500kg. And the Caravans gross laden weight must not exceed the cars UNLADEN weight.

Unless the manufacturer has set a lower limit.

Ian since the price list for the uk hasn’t been published yet I take it that’s a guess ?
Think about it realistically all car manufacturers have base model cars like the 29k bmw 5 series right though to the 70k top of the range all singing and dancing model, but not everyone buys the top model.

The quote game charger was said as the model 3 was announced supposedly with the ability to tow a trailer ? So for cc driver Francais with his small camping trailer it could be a winner.

If you look on teslas uk website it gives timelines for the cars.

Love it, we've got a new one, but it actually comes from the opening titles on Man v Food, so he must be an avid watcher. History in the making. Absolutely love it.

Coming off production.

I wonder if any custom car workshops in the US are putting big block V8 engines in Teslas yet? Should be seeing some at car shows soon.

No but there is a UK firm that will make your Tesla Model "S" into an estate car, although it costs around £60k to have the work done!

You won't get this Mike, but some of the 9% of staff that are being let go of by Tesla, are just happy to have had the experience of working for a company with so much vision.

Tesla has come from nowhere and left all the car manufacturers literally standing.

Whilst VAG was fiddling the emmisions tests, and as other auto makers were resting on there laurels, Tesla has come up with a car that no others can compete with.

Tesla has half a million pre orders, for the Model 3 alone, I don't think any other car maker in the history of making cars has ever been in that position before.

As for getting a job, I don't think any former Tesla worker need worry about that, having Tesla on your CV, can only be a ticket to a land of milk and honey!

Yep, I bet they have had a great time. Recently reported excessive mandatory overtime, poor equipment, staff injuries, below average wages and poor morale.

I bet they are over the moon. 😀👍
