The Tesla 3 model should be here sometime during 2018,

You also predicted the above.

I don’t buy it at all either. I would not buy a Tesla with your money, let alone mine.

Well everyone let’s see who spots the first Tesla Model 3 on the UK roads next month, will give you one point for that, and a bonus point if it has a tow bar fitted, or as the yanks call it, a tow hitch.

First one broken down,or stranded because the few charging points are in use or bust!
The 4 charge points I saw at Cherwell Valley services were not long enough to take a car and trailor! So unhitch, find a space then go on point if free!
Exceed 2 hours get penalty charge from the parking bandits!

Pretty sure everyone on here is just not interested.

Oh please, your just speaking for yourself! I am embracing all things “Tesla” tbh, and am looking forward to seeing our roads “flooded” with them.

It’s a game changing no brainer as far as I am concerned.

Oh I would not be to sure about that blueexpo97, especially the tent campers on here that tow trailers.

All you caravaners are going to be stuffed I am afraid, until the technology improves.

I even noticed today that Lunar had a full size billboard at Lancaster services South Bound advertising there caravans, so that makes me think that demand for new caravans is very much in decline, as people move over to more economical cars and BEV’s.

It is what it is, and I did once covet owning a caravan, but now I am not sure.

I have seen some hybrids towing, and technology will move on.
I doubt the ability of govt of any leaning to put in the infrastructure for electric vehicle.
Seeing as they can't even mend the potholes, settle b****t or get new power stations built or give the whole country reliable mobile phone and broadband!

Perhaps binning HS2 and using money to improve existing rail and roads would help!

You paint a depressing picture 664DaveS, but I get that, especially the HS2 thing, they have spent millions if not billions already, and only in the news last week, it has been revealed that HS2 executives are being paid double bubble, as a kind of insurance should the project be scrapped leaving them without a career, yeh right it’s just another cash trough for them to get there snouts into.

Back to BEV’s though, I am saving up for a Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD c/w tow hitch, second hand of course, so I have got a few years to get that sorted!

Why or how am I going to be stuffed?

I have got two cars here on my drive, 19 plate VW Tiguan 2.0 Diesel and a Ford Ranger Pick up, 2.5 litre 4x4, both are more than capable of towing anything I want, and the pick up to 3 tonne..........Why or how am I going to be stuffed? 🤔🤔

Why does everyone think the future will be exactly like today, but with different vehicles? In my opinion, the future is going to look very different if we are serious about tackling climate change and pollution.

One of the major problems isn't vehicle related at all. It's consumerism and our obsession with owning things.

In my view the real future of BEVs and self-driving vehicles lies with the rental market. More schemes like the ones currently operating in London and other cities where you rent a vehicle by the hour/mile. At present they are known as car-clubs.

Anyway, I certainly won't be worrying about it because diesel cars will probably outlast me. I'm nearly 70, so I will probably have given up caravanning, or probably given up driving altogether before all the diesel cars have gone. If I ever own an electric vehicle it will almost certainly be a mobility scooter.
