600 Kg is the towing weight for unbraked trailers,1500 Kg is the max towing rate for braked trailers for most of the CRV range,

On line it said that unbraked towing capacity is 600kg and braked 1500kg. Am I correct to understand that unbraked means that the caravan doesnít have independent braking system so the car does all the braking?

Ah now that makes more sense. 600kg unbraked. That means something like my little box trailer which doesn't have any brake drums or braking system of any kind. Caravans usually have over-run brakes which come into effect when the towing vehicle brakes. The weight of the caravan pushes the tow-hitch in as it pushes against the car under braking, and this actuates the braking system on the caravan.
