Just placed this advert in the for sale section if anyone is interested!!

Silver Ford Mondeo Diesel TDCi Hatchback on a 53 plate.

Its The Zetec Model, so it has Climate Control, and Unusually on this model has CRUISE CONTROL! which is a must for towing!

3 Years old in December so still has over 2 Months Manufacturers Warranty!

Only Done 44,000 Miles with a full service History.

Its in excellent condition, and drives superb, and tows brilliant.

its got a brand new towbar fitted with twin electrics and alko ball, yet the car has only towed once, and that was taking our van to a seasonal pitch earlier this year.

It also has a Parrot Bluetooth Car Kit fitted that works with all Bluetooth phones, and I will leave that in if the buyer wants it.

Its also had 4 new tyres recentley

Its a great car, and with the 2 months warranty left you have peice of mind that all is well.

Call me on 07980 779665 if you want to view or test drive etc.

I have been a member for 2 years, and made over 800 posts.

I have not simply joined to sell a car.

There are endless threads in this section about towcars, in fact I think there are 5 right now on the first page relating to cars, in fact you have just replied on one!

The car I am selling is a Towcar, with Towbar,

If someone reading the board is looking for a suitable towcar, then this thread helps them and helps me....

So what exactly is your problem? Or have you nothing else better to do than troll threads on a Sunday Afternoon??

By the way thanks for bumping it up for me.

Hmmm... tow car advice and tow car sales. Some would argue that they are not the same!

Danger is, this forum then ends up a forum for classified ads. Personally, as there are that many questions on tow cars now, particularly the mind numbing amount of 4x4 stuff (really boring to those of us with deeper pockets and shorter arms who drive 'normal' cars), I think that we should consider a forum dedicated to tow cars, and leave this clear for caravans. Just my own opinion FWIW.

I've just bought the same age and spec car with less mileage for 1,000 less than you are asking.

Thats the danger of selling in the forum!

Not the same car though is it? not the same engine or age?

Jesus, I feel like a bloody criminal just for offering my car for sale on here. I have listed it in the free adverts section as I sold my last car on here, and just thought i would make a post about it.

I have listed it in the Auto Trader, just thought that as it already has a tow bar fitted which cost me around 250 that it might be of interest to anyone who needs a tow car.

The price I started at was just what I saw similar makes and models going for in the trader, and is open to offers.

I dont see what harm the advert has done to anyone?? If you dont like it then dont read it, if the car aint for you then so be it.

really frustrated about this.

Is it a 130bhp?  If so thats a bargain, we paid 13k 21 months ago for the same spec. A great tow car pulls like a train.

If Webby/Ratty/Papa/Loopy aren't happy about this thread, rest assured they will remove it!

Bev+jon,    before you post that you only paid 4500 for yours, indicating that mine is over priced...   why dont you read the text of your own post below...

Posted by Bev+jon......  on the 17th May .

ok , update time . car needs new slave cylinder , clutch has to be changed also,  plus a new dual mass flywheel as these have a habit of coming apart and smashing the gearbox casing.big problem on any mk3 mondeo with over 80k on the clock.

im lucky, im only paying for parts ,(450) the dealer i bought it from is paying labour costs even though car is out of warranty and these parts arent covered.

the price for all this work should be 900-1000 !!!  add 2k if your gearbox goes !!

you have been warned.....

----------------------------------

So maybe after reading that post,  paying just 4500 for it wasnt a bargain after all?????  Especially with double the miles.

I agree, give the bloke a break-at least if a member is new to the website and is in need of a new car to tow their caravan then they know that this particular car is suitable as another member has been towing with it.

This particular section is for advice etc etc not for selling put it in the free ads section. When you see threads with that heading I look because someone has found something amusing - I have not bothered to upgrade my PC and only use dial up. By the time It opens its ticks me off a little to read adverts - Please call the web police.
