Ratty

Any chance you can add trailer tents etc to the uploads page? The tents link covers only tents, (as expected), but I still class my Stratos as a tent?

Here she is! "Giraffen" - The Giraf - my 30-40 years old Danish Trio 4 berth frame tent of unknown type.

Zipper has to be replaced - everything else is in great condition:

And here the reason for the name... The sleeping pod design!

I am looking for fake leopard skin throws and cushions, and tablecloths in safari-style now...

An addition to my pictures above!

Alternative use of the Outwell Montana 6 rainporch (and it was VERY windy!). Meet LooLoo, as we call this DIY luxury bucket loo:

Just a little reminder on how to upload and post your photos

1. Go to http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/ and search for your tent

2. Click on the tent to bring up the details page, then click on the link for Member Uploaded Images

3. Click Browse to select an image from your computer, and select the photo(s) you want to use. Enter a comment, then click on the Upload Image button

4. The photo will then be uploaded and appear on the website.

5. If you want to include the photo on a thread, or post, click on it once uploaded, to bring up the large version. You'll then see the photo, and at the bottom a link, something like
http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/images/userimages/3125.jpg

6. Highlight the entire link address, and right click and copy it

7. Back in your post, click on the 20 button, to include an image.

8. Paste the link from step 6, and click okay

9. Submit your post! The image will now appear in your post on the thread.

Doing it this way ensures images are uploaded to one place, and kept to a reasonably uniform size for posting on threads. It also means they won't disappear into the ether ever, as they are hosted on this website. Finally it means users of the tent reviews page will also benefit, as well as those who read the forums.

Cheers Ratty

Initially our guying was very strange and the tent was not quite right over the top, we adjusted it over the weekend and know more about how to put it up next time

Inside the Outwell Utah 4, it's huge!!!

I love the shape of the Utah 4. It's porch is very handy for the camp kitchen and can be opened up fully!!

Our 6 year old loves camping in it!! See below the cosy kids room, just for him!!

Of course, Ben 10 has to come with us! Anything for a quiet night!!

I love our Outwell. It's so versatile and sturdy all in one!

Here is a couple photos of my Kampa Bude 2 on its first outing up at Banff, right next to the beach. The other tent is my old Vango Banshee 250 that my mate now uses

Hi shaggy how do you find the Bude 2, I used mine a few weeks ago and thought it very comfortable I liked the canopy on the front I had a problem putting it up by myself as the ring and pin were jumping out when I tried to put the dome up, but a kind camper gave me a hand apart from that I think it is a well made tent with plenty of room

Hi Jpegg. Yeah really like the Bude its great to have a tent I can stand up in!!! The quality is fantastic you can really 'feel the difference' and I really like the all in one flysheet..keeps the Scottish midgies out I was new to Kampa but they seem to have a fantastic range of good quality stuff.

Should hopefully do for a good few years when I am camping and staying in the one place for a length of time. Like you I think I would of struggled to put it up myself just the height of the dome makes it a bit tricky to get up, not sure if pegging one end to give something to secure it would help, going to try that on the next outing.

We've added the Vango Kairos 400 to our tent collection for overnighters and touring. Here she is at the end of a wet and blustery 5 days of touring recently in the vintage Landy, moving sites each day. She's even sort of colour coded with the vehicle.

Got our complete set up now - the excellent Vango Columbia 600 for longer stays, the Kampa Bude 4 for weekends (both pictured previously), the Coleman Rock Springs 4 as an emergency and stop off tent and the Kairos 400 for overnights and compact touring.

-------------
Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
