Mine's laurel too.....funny that!
My sister has the blue one but she says my green one looks cooler. It may have something to do with her bad pitching though - it's like an overused lidl bag.

I knew I wanted any colour but blue, I was concerned it may make everything inside a shade of blue, but that is just past experience and personal preference.
I badly wanted to iron the tent to be honest - Not a good idea I'm sure! It looks horrible, if I go to Pillaton in september I'll have to get proper pitching instruction so I can make you all proud.
Hopefully part of the problem is the fact I don't have enough space to guy it out properly. The display model in Go Outdoors Loughborough was collapsing in on me whilst I stood in it though, the poles were too close together, and no guy ropes where tightened at all. I suppose though when space is a premium it can't be helped.
Still, if I hadn't of seen all the pictures and reviews on this site, chances are I'd of gone home without buying anything (so thank you ukcs!), all the lovely canvas tents were way out of my price range.
*has probably nattered on and derailed the thread enough, sorry!*

I've been inspired by this forum to look out our 1986 Lichfield Challenger. It's in great condition, considering it's age and also that it was quite heavily used. There is some marks on the cotton inner, it's a bit faded along what might be fold lines on the outer and it's got a foot for the inside pole missing. There was also a rain cowl (small plastic bit for the top of the pole to stop water going down the pole) so my Mum put half and emptied out lemon on it.

So, while I was rooting around in my parents loft I found this tent - it's about 15 years old, bought in Dublin and cost £70 which was alot at the time. Pitching isn't perfect as you can see.

It's like a tardis, doesn't look all that impressive but it's huge inside! It's never been used, it had been bought for camping in Italy but in the end it wasn't needed as my folks B&B'd it instead.
Does anyone know what it is?

There's more to come. I found a tiny tent which I'm going to pitch tomorrow. Thanks to my Mum for helping me put up all these tents - including this one....
