Nothing obsessive going on with these lists, just normal camping behaviour!!!

Did anyone see the naff holiday swap show where a camping family took a luxury holiday family camping. They were camping middens and put the other family off for life. I wish they'd do a show like that and show what a quality camping holiday is like - I was embarrassed for real campers everywhere by this lazy slob approach to the great outdoors.

Tent(s): Either Vango Delta 300, Coleman Coastline 3 or Outwell Carolina 3, depending how long I'm going for.  Carolina has the carpet for when Im feeling flash LOL

Vehicle:  SEAT Ibiza

Trailer: none.

Canopy: none. Do have a cheapo wooden pole, beach windbreak.

Utility/Day Tent: none, I bought a cheap childs travel potty ideal for one person night time pees J

Tables and chairs: One small fold up table from Argos, fold up chair, and just got a flat-folding basic sun lounger because reading in the other chair is not comfortable!

Cooker: CampingGaz single burner suitcase stove.  Only very basic minimal cooking stuff and a cool bag that acts as a fridge.

Bedding - Single cheapo airbed with car rug and silver foil blanket beneath, fitted fleece thermo blanket, 2 fleece blankets and just forked out for an Outwell 3 season proper sleeping bag.  Hopefully wont need quite so many layers now!

As you can see, nothing very extravagant, although by camping in my childhood standards, this is luxury!!!

Lighting - 3 x Aldi UFO lights, attached with IKEA 'meat hooks' to poles

Trailer: Roofbox instead, reduced space will stop me buying more "essential" gear

Canopy: Gelert porch

Utility/Day Tent: None

Cooker: Kettle BBQ and 2 suitcase gas cookers

Bedding - Buying an aerobed active double for this year, plus coleman single bought from a car boot (a real bargain its as new)

You'll love it. I was counting down just before Christmas, hoping I'd have enough pence to buy one in the new year.

Ordered it right at beginning of January, then had to wait weeks and weeks and weekes to test pitch it lol

We're off for a couple of days at end of April so it's going to get a proper test. Can't wait.

Hope you get yours soon and you love it :-)

Tent(s): SunnCamp Tourist Plus 6XP (looking to replace this year, will be looking for recommendations :) )

Vehicle:  2 x Vauxhall Astra

Trailer: None

Canopy: None, we do occasionally pole up the door though

Utility/Day Tent: None, OH can't see the point

Cooker: 2 x suitcase stoves, his cheapo Tesco pan set (being accidentally left on site this year so I can replace it), my cool IKEA whistling kettle

Bedding - Coleman Comfort, foam mats under, fleece under sheet, KS duvet on top. Toasty warm!

Furniture - Super Lite double wardrobe / larder - won from here :) Aldi roll up table. Need new chairs for this season, they were broken by friends on our last outing. 2 x Aldi picnic blankets for carpets. Again OH doesn't see the point, but I think they're much warmer.

Lighting - Aldi energy saving worklight hooked up to EHU

Heating - cheap Tesco sleeping bags. We sit in them on a night in our PJs. Never really needed anything else.

Entertainment - books, playing cards, lots of wine!

Wish list - New tent, liking the Outwell Alabama. Better cooker - thinking a two burner style. New chairs - maybe Moons? Normal one's really dig into my little legs!

PGxx
