Woke up this morning and upon opening my curtains, I saw 2 men accross the park errecting a big Go Outdoors sign on a building!!
It's 2 minutes from my house, this really can't be good!

I was just starting to get over the fact that we didn't manage to get away this year and now a Go Outdoors is opening right on our doorstep, I fear for my bank balance as we start planning for next year!

Aww poor you.

Maybe you'll wake up one morning and one will have appeared outside your window

If one appears outside my window it will need to be pretty small,I live in a static caravan on a holiday park!,Although it is right by the sea,I would still love to be next to a camping store...I know, some people are just never satisfied

Get a job there, then you can play with the stuff without having to buy it...but if you can't avoid the temptation...staff discount!

c6cazzie...I have to go camping to get away from the holidaymakers!  Great idea to get a job there in the camping store...be like taking kids to early learning centre....but at least you would have plenty of knowledge (especially if you take your laptop and hide it so you can keep popping on here for answers!

I wish one would open opposite me, I'd be applying for a job!!  Wouldn't be like work would it.

Zeelees, I hope you don't mind me asking, but how did you go about living in a static on a holiday park. Did you have to buy it, or rent it and I thought if it wasn't a residential park you could only stay there for most but not all the year (you don't have to reply if you think I'm being nosey but I am really interested as I've been thinking of this for sometime in the future.

Thanks

Helen

Oh, I'm so envious! The big camping shop 5 minutes walk from my house is closing down... and there are not too many camping shops in Denmark... and those that are around favour caravan campers... I want a Go Outdoors here!!!

Hi,no you're not being nosey,we saw that this holiday park said "long lease/residential caravans available while we were having a day out here with the dog on the beach,so....we popped into the office and asked! There were a few available so we had a look, gave notice for the house we were renting and moved into the caravan at the end of the notice!....simples!! (my emoticoms aint working but am smiling) They are nothing special but have everything you need and a view of the sea......and appologese to the OP for nabbing the post to answer.(blush)

I live a 10minute very slow stroll to our local GoOutdoors. I love it!!!

I can have a free trip out with DD in an afternoon which goes like this.....

Walk to Go whilst walking along the white line that divides the path for pedestrians and cyclists, walk through Barclays grassy bit at the front and see if we can see the rabbits. Get to Go and look in all the tents.

Leave go and cross the road, walk down to pets at Home to look at the animals, walk back home whilst walking along the white line on the path.

I'm telling you, my DD's life if so full of excitement and it cost me nowt!!!

She even asks me to go and look at the tents!

Oh and I just wanted to add, she is only 2 and a half years old, so the joys of doing zips is immensely satisfying.
