I would think a spray deodorant would damage the waterproofing of a tent(though I have no facts to back that up)No problem for me as I use roll on...Cheaper more effective and lasts longer....

I'd prefer the smell of the deodorant to the alternative!!

We use aerosols in our tent.

I know this is an old post but was interested to see that no one else mentions this. I'm an Aussie scout group leader and we have a ban on any aerosols when camping and the reason for this is that it settles on the tent and makes the tent flammable. We have a leader who works for a fire protection company and he has done demos on nights (with damaged tents) to show before and after spraying aerosols. An ember or a flame nearby can make the tent go up very easily. He even sprayed one week and didn't demonstrate until the following week.
