A wee tip Iíll give to everyone, use topcashback and head to Towergate insurance. They are very good insurers, policies arenít that expensive and you get £66 cash back for a new policy. I got my insurance for £44 once I took the cashback into account

Thanks, you have just reminded me that my renewal is due in a couple of days.

That tip is much more relevant to owners of newer vans than it is to me though, as if I got £66 cash back, my insurance would be free.

If you belong to one of the clubs, then look at what they have to offer. Although I moved mine from a club offering to Caravan Guard. By quoting your membership of this forum group you can get a discount.
I am sure others will answer this posting with ore detailed advice, but you need to make sure you have good security for caravan and do a careful check on the value of accessories etc.

There are several caravan insurances to choose from if you do a Goggle search but I have always used either 'Caravan Guard' or 'Saga' mainly. However, you need read the company reviews whichever you choose especially where claims have been made but judging from previous posts on this forum, the one to avoid is 'E&L' (Equity & Livestock) caravan insurance as their claims procedure has been far from efficient.

I use Comfort Insurance. You ring them & speak to a person. Reasonably priced & seem ok. Very easy to understand t&cís. Not had to claim off them though so no experience of that.

Used E&L(Equine and Livestock) years ago, were good up to a point then binned them off.

I've just taken out cover with Ripe Caravans. They gave a quote which was far lower than anyone else's. What they will be like in the event of a claim, I have no idea and hope I don't have to find out. I got them on a caravan insurance comparison site.
